About this cottage rental
Outside, a secluded seating area is the perfect spot for breakfast on a sunny morning or you can relax on the west-facing patio. There is off-road parking for up to two cars and an EV charger on site (billed separately according to use).
Surrounded by woodland and set between Lochs Achray and Venachar, the house adjoins a traditional cottage and is a peaceful and convenient base from which to explore the wider Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park and historic Stirling. Equipped to a high standard, this holiday cottage has everything you need for a comfortable break, whether it's a peaceful retreat from the stresses of everyday life, or an active break for walking, cycling or fishing.
For walkers and cyclists, woodland, loch-side and hill routes to suit all abilities start from the door. Secure bike storage is available on site. The Go Ape course at Aberfoyle is around 15 minutes away and very popular with our guests. For gentler activities, simply wander through the woods, take a cruise on Loch Katrine or soak up some history and culture with castles and museums in Doune and Stirling. Proximity to the main routes north and south means this is also a great base for day trips further afield, for example to the galleries and museums of Edinburgh and Glasgow, scenic Glencoe or Fort William and Ben Nevis.
There are plenty of eating-out options in the area but, for those who enjoy cooking, locally-grown fruit and veg is available from our neighbouring farm during the growing season while shops in Aberfoyle and Callander offer local venison, fresh meat and fish.
We live next door and are happy to help with problems or queries during your stay but we will always respect your privacy and leave you to enjoy your holiday in peace.
Dogs are welcome by arrangement but please note that the garden and woodland surrounding the property are not enclosed so that pets must be supervised when outside.
