A continental breakfast is provided each day for guests to prepare themselves. The kitchen area includes a kettle, toaster and fridge (with ice box) - plus a combined microwave and convection oven with grill. A folding table and two chairs can be found stored in the utility cupboard together with an ironing board and steam iron. The bedroom also includes a full-size wardrobe and chest of drawers.

The accommodation offers free use of a fast WIFI broadband service, with several USB charging points, a Roberts digital radio - plus a 30-inch Samsung TV and Humax satellite receiver offering over 200 channels plus On Demand and Catch-up services. The luxury shower includes a large central shower head, hand-held spray head plus individual body jets. An automatic hair drier with integral shaver point is also provided in the shower room, together with the requisite towels, soaps, shampoos and conditioners.

In addition to offering cloakroom facilities, a vestibule provides full separation of the living accommodation from the outside drive where 24-hour free parking is available. Additional street parking is also possible.

The studio features oak flooring on a single level, throughout. There is a low step from the drive up to the apartment, but a ramp is available - on request - for those with limited mobility.

LOCATION
Hook Norton is one of the largest villages in the area, with its deep orange, iron stone buildings and wonderful location at the edge of the Cotswolds. It boasts three pubs - The Sun Inn, The Pear Tree and The Gate Hangs High - and benefits from a large, well-stocked village shop, butcher, hairdresser, doctor and dentist.

The village is also home to the award-winning Hook Norton brewery, where beer has been crafted for over 170 years. Approximately 15 minutes’ walk from Orchard Road, the brewery hosts many social events throughout the year, along with regular brewery tours and an open tap night every month. It has its own brewery shop - offering a large range of beers, wines and spirits - and also serves delicious breakfasts and lunches 7 days a week in its Malthouse Kitchen.

All three pubs in the village are open all day every day, and offer extensive food menus - The Sun and The Gate Hangs High both having separate restaurant areas. The village shop is well stocked with fresh fruit and vegetables, dairy products, newspapers, beers, wines & spirits. The village Post Office is also housed within the shop which is open till 8pm Monday to Saturday and 6pm on Sundays.

SURROUNDING AREA
Hook Norton lies just outside Chipping Norton - often described as the gateway to the Cotswolds and a bustling market town offering a broad range of shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants and its original open market on Wednesdays. The town also boasts its own theatre and is home to several annual festivals including the Chipping Norton Music Festival in March and internationally-renown Chipping Norton Literary Festival in April.

Other major events in the area include festivals at Cropredy, Blenheim, Cornbury, Wilderness and the Big Feastival near Kingham. The annual Cheltenham race festival takes place in March and is well within reach - as is the Cheltenham Literary Festival and a huge number of annual events in and around Oxford and Stratford-Upon-Avon.

The village also has its own museum based in the brewery building and is just a short distance away from the Rollright Stones - a collection of megalithic stone monuments comprising the Whispering Knights dolmen, the King's Men stone circle and the King's Stone - the earliest of which is over a thousand years older the Stonehenge.

TRAVEL
Hook Norton is just over 30 minutes' drive to Stratford-Upon-Avon and around 40 minutes to Oxford - with Cheltenham, Warwick and Leamington Spa all easily reached by car.

Banbury train station is just 7 miles from Hook Norton offering fast and frequently trains to London (57 minutes), Birmingham (50 minutes) and Oxford (20 minutes). Taxis are available to the village and there is also a regular bus service. Alternatively, the owners of the property are happy to pick up guests from the station and drop them back at any time at a cost of £10 per journey.

Hook Norton lies approximately 30 minutes away from the historic town of Chipping Campden, the northerly starting point for the Cotswolds Way - a national trail extending over 100 miles as far south as Bath. And the whole Cotswolds area is home to countless walks across some of the most stunning countryside anywhere in England.

Hidcote Gardens are a short distance away - as is Upton House & Gardens, Whichford Pottery, Blenheim Palace, Batsford Arboretum, Sezincote House & Gardens and Chastelton House. We are also close to Soho Farmhouse and The Daylesford Centre.
