Herrieff's Cottage is located in a conservation area of a quiet village, overlooking the village green, about 3 miles west of Banbury. The cottage is Grade II listed and has been converted from an old coach house. The village is located on the Oxfordshire cycleway and connects areas of outstanding natural beauty. The cottage is built from local Horton stone and retains many exposed walls within, along with exposed original beams. Outside there is a patio with garden table and chairs and off road parking. Wi-fi is available in the cottage.

A fortnight stay in this lovely cottage, we probably stay longer than your average guest. So a change of towels and sheets would have been nice. Parking outside the cottage or on the road is available. The cottage is quiet, warm (maybe a little too warm in the summer) especially in the bedroom. I am 5ft 4inches and the bedroom and bathroom beams in the ceiling are very low for me, so be warned if you are tall. The mattress is very soft and not for anyone with any back issues. The kitchen has all the equipment you may require, but a simple welcome pack may be nice (like milk) as the nearest shop is five miles away. The cottage information was very brief and the restaurants and pubs outdated as a number of them had closed a few years ago. A refresh of this In for some would be helpful, with some local tourist information would be a nice touch. The area is full of great places to visit, and there are some lovely walks just outside the door, so a great place to visit.

Has everything you need in a quiet and relaxing location. The only tricky part is finding the property if you are unfamiliar with UK post codes.

My husband and I stayed at Mary‘s Cottage for 8 nights with our dog.
The cottage is well established and Mary as well as her family are very hospitable.
From the little village you have plenty of walking routes, which our dog and we enjoyed much.
Thanks for having us and we will definitely come back soon!

We were warmly greeted by host Mary and husband Justin. The cottage was perfect for our five day stay to unwind and to sightsee.
Everything was spotlessly clean, the lounge and bed very comfortable, and all necessary utensils etc were on hand.
We enjoyed a delightful celebratory dinner over the road at The Blinking Owl Pub.
Would recommend the cottage to any couple wanting to stay in this area.

Booking was very straightforward. Very clear directions, parking right by front door. The cottage was perfect- well equipped kitchen and superb spacious sitting room. Bedroom and en-suite excellent. All very well decorated. Clearly a lot of thought and good taste had gone into it. The village itself was a delight. Wholeheartedly recommend

Charming cottage in a lovely village. Perfect for a short break away from it all though local to shops if you need them. Excellent pub across the road if you fancy a drink with the locals or a pub meal

Beautiful spacious cottage for 2
We throughly enjoyed our holiday in the cotswolds, but coming home each day to the beautiful Herriffes Cottage was the icing on the cake! A beautifully converted cottage with so much space where every gizmo and gadget has been thought of. Mary and Justin were wonderful and on hand to help if needed but always respectful of your privacy.
We spent ages trawling the Internet to find a cottage, so let me save you the bother, set in a lovely peaceful village, with friendly locals, fabulous owners and the comfiest cottage we have ever found Herrieffs Cottage has to be the one, just book it now.....you won't be disappointed!

We saw everything we had planned- woburn abbey - althorp - seizencote - snowshill manor - broughton castle - and walks in the Cotswolds and along the canal path. Charm in the Countryside, Close to Many Attractions
This is a 3 level converted barn that oozes charm and accommodation. In our 3 days there we easily visited Stratford-upon -Avon (by car), Oxford by frequent train, and Blenheim Palace with a good taste of the Cotswolds. Well equipped with great internet connections despite its country setting. The only difficulty was finding it initially. The Vrbo only said “Main Street” and a picture. For reference, it is labeled “Harrieffs Cottage”, and is directly across the road from the only commercial establishment, The Blinking Owl pub.

Very nice and spacious cottage located in quiet village.
We had a three night stay with our dog Jess and found the cottage very comfortable and much more spacious than we anticipated. We found some nice walks from the door so did not need to use the car during our stay.
We found the village pub,'The Blinking Owl' was very convenient and friendly, and we had a nice meal there one evening.

Excellent cottage in a delightful village
This is an excellent cottage with three large well equiped rooms in a small village. Very friendly and helpful hosts. Access to the Cotswolds and Blenheim Palace. An excellent friendly pub in the lovely nearby village of Shutford - it's worth a walk around Shutford. We loved it.

Cozy cottage in small village
This cottage was a very convenient place to stay while visiting friends and family in Banbury. It was well equipped with everything we needed for our stay. They even provided us with a Christmas tree. The lounge was very spacious. Our only concern was since pets were allowed, we had to vacuum dog hair from around the house.
