The farmhouse is situated in the heart of the Garfagnana, with stunning 360 views of the Appenines, Apuane Alps and the famous Uomo Mort. Whilst ideal for a peaceful, rural away from it all holiday, this property offers the convenience of town too, with the famous market town of Castelnuovo less than a 5 minute drive away.
Indeed the beautiful fortress, with commanding views over the valley and the mountains beyond, and noted for its classical music events, is 10 minutes on foot. The town itself has a famous weekly market, bars, restaurants, shops, and train station for easy exploring. Drive times are: Castelnuovo 3 mins or so Mediaeval town of Barga - 15 minutes Lucca - 45 minutes Pisa - 1 hour 15 minutes Florence - 90 minutes National Park of Orrechiella - 30 mins Walking, horseriding, and picnic opportunities straight from the door!
