The property lies just outside the small village of Sillicano located 8 km from the town of Castelnuovo di Garfagnana. It has been restored in the years 2013-2015 with exquisite taste without changing the old style of the house. In the (entirely fenced) garden a 8,5x3,5 meter pool has been added. Between house and pool there are two terraces (one covered) for outdoor dining. The entire property is for private use of the tenant and can accommodate up to 14 people (6 bedrooms - 5/6 bathrooms). On the ground floor there are a kitchen, dining room with table for 12 persons, living room with seating for six and table for four, bathroom. On the 1st floor there is a 2nd living area with seating for five, two double bedrooms and two bathrooms. One of the two bedrooms has a passageway area with a child bed (max 180 cm). On the 2nd floor there is a bedroom with two single beds (it is possible here to add an extra bed) with en-suite bathroom, double bedroom with en-suite bathroom, bedroom with two single beds, one double bedroom. The latter two share the 3rd bathroom on this floor. A wooden staircase leads to the wonderful roof terrace with panoramic views. In the village of Sillicano (at 500 meters distance) there is a food shop, you can also purchase here bread and vegetables / fruit. In Castelnuovo di Garfagnana there are supermarket, bars, restaurants and other shops. There is public parking at 200 meters from the property, you can drive to the house to load/unload the luggage. The property is an excellent destination for a relaxing holiday and visit the Garfagnana area with it charming villages, great scenic drives, walking-hiking (we suggest in the Orecchiella Natural Park) and other outdoor activities. It’s at the same time a good starting point to visit Pisa, Lucca and for a day at sea (the Versilia Riviera is 60 kms away). The main nearby town is Castelnuovo di Garfagnana (at 9 kms) and has many restaurants, cafes, bars, shops, supermarkets and weekly open market on Thursday.
