Nice little apartment in a building with lift access - the location is great for access to the town with plenty of bars, restaurants and shops on the doorstep - we stayed for the half marathon and the start area was a five minute walk which was fantastic. The host were also easily contactable and were very responsive. Stresa is a lovely place and we enjoyed our stay very much.
The apartment is designed for a solo traveller or a couple - although there is a sofa bed in the second room this is the room you access the bathroom through which can make it difficult access. This was however only an issue for us as two friends staying in the apartment and may not be for other travellers. The kitchen area is basic but this was not an issue with plenty of restaurants and supermarkets nearby. Nice coffee machine.

Location was perfect, supermarket few meters away, the piazza also less than a minute away, everything is on your door step!
There was 3 of us staying for two nights but we only had enough coffee pods for one morning

Central location. Easy walk to restaurants and suprmarket. Spacious flat. Interesting balcony for people watching. Allowed a late departure time of 12 noon. Unexpected offer of towel changes twice in week with opportunity to ask for more toilets rolls etc. Comfy bed.
We were told our host would meet us but we only communicated in Italian over WhatsApp. As we did not meet anyone they did not collect a local city tax which was apparently due. We were surprised to receive a request for this in Italian via message when we were waiting at the airport for our flight home. Lack of finishing touches in flat eg only 5 x coat hangers, no beer glasses. Maybe a welcome pack would be nice - we found just 2 x small bottles of water in the fridge on arrival after letting ourselves in. Balcony gets very hot in afternoon and needs shade. Maybe a pull down shade which we saw on another balcony in the block. Not the fault.of the hosts but on Fri/Sat evenings the bar nearby had very loud booming dance music through to around midnight. Also a resident dog barked non-stop until 1am every night which made sleep difficult.

Location was excellent next to supermarket, shops, cafes, restaurants and short walk to the lake. Quiet and secure with lift to second floor apartment. Comfortable bed and good shower.
Quality of furnishings basic and minimal. Quality of white goods poor. Minimum amount of crockery and cutlery provided. No washing up bowl or sink plug provided (no dishwasher) Couldn’t get heating to work on chilly evenings and no extra bedding provided to keep you warm.
