Spacious Comfort with a Touch of Vintage Charm – A Great Stay in Bad Gastein

We had a very positive experience during our stay in Bad Gastein. The apartment matched the description perfectly – it was spacious, practical, and even larger than we needed for a family of four. The apartment was exactly as described, offering plenty of room and comfort. While the interior design might not be to everyone’s taste – let’s say it has a “grandma” or even “great-grandma” style, with vintage carpets, sofas, and blue toilets – it was all part of the charm and exactly what we expected based on the listing and reviews. The beds were extremely comfortable, which made a big difference after long days of hiking. The kitchen was very well equipped, allowing us to prepare meals easily. The location is great – just a 2-minute walk to the bus stop, from where you can reach the ski lifts, shops, and other attractions. The host was very friendly, met us on arrival, and helped with parking and getting settled in. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a comfortable and well-located base in Bad Gastein – especially if you don’t mind a bit of retro charm!

We somehow missed in the reviews that the apartment doesn’t have a balcony, and it’s not particularly bright inside, which might matter to some guests. Also, if you have a very large car or feel uncomfortable driving through narrow streets, reaching the parking spot near the apartment might be a bit of an adventure.

Good choice if you’re looking for a practical option; not much more though

Spacious, affordable, a practical option from a strictly utilitarian pov. Free parking. Nice view. Relatively short walk downtown (but lots of climbing!)

It wasn’t cleaned up properly, there was dirt and dust in the kitchen and cobwebs in room corners. the windows were dirty and so were the carpets. The furniture and some of the kitchen appliances looked like they were grandma’s. Everything was done on the cheap: cheapest bedsheets, even the liquid soap in the ‘Palmolive’-branded bottle was some other no-name brand! TV and internet were not working; we wrote to the owners about the TV to sort it out, they said they’d look into it and then never got back to us.

Great place with great views

The owner and the lady who lives in the same entrance are both nice and helpful. The appartment is amazing. Very clean, offers everything you may or may not think about, great views

The access for car is tricky now as the straight road is closed. We had to go around. Although the owner gave us the detailed route, it still wasn't easy to find the way. Despite this, the apartment is great and highly recommended.

expensive but nice place to stay - bus ride to skiing but bus stop right next to the building

this place feels like stepping into the past with meticulous attention to detail. everything is functional -good showers, kitchen well equipped and views and sound of waterfall from the windows excellent. it was a bonus to find some spices and coffee in the kitchen (we left some of ours too to top up).

there wasn’t blankets in our bedroom, there was spare duvet in the third bedroom but no linen. the following nights we put electric heaters full blast for an hour before going to bed. knowing info like storage space for luggage is kind of essential(?) in train-served location if not possible to leave in the house. the ladies who let us in very nice and helpful.

The presence of cobwebs in abundance. when i book ( booked for 3 adults ) but the owner send me message if i do not reply her email ( which i did not get it ) she will cancel my booking which i feel it is aggressive .

Super Unterkunft für einen Skiurlaub.

Alles super. Die Einrichtung ist zwar alt, aber alles funktioniert, ist sauber und die Betten sind bequem. Dass der Skikeller fehlt ist nicht schlimm, da an der Gondel ein großes Depot ist. Preis-Leistung ist unschlagbar.

Fantastisk skidsemester i en underbar lägenhet

Vi hade en mycket bra vistelse. Rymlig lägenhet med bra sovrum och sköna sängar. Bra badrum och fantastisk utsikt. Bekvämt avstånd till staden och hållplats för skidbussen. Vi återkommer gärna.

Hade hellre haft skidförvaring vid boendet istället för att hyra skidskåp vid liften.

Bardzo przyjemny pobyt Pani Daniela była bardzo uprzejma i troskliwa - dziękujemy.

Bardzo przestronne mieszkanie z pięknym widokiem na miasto i góry. Trzy wygodne sypialnie, dobrze wyposażona kuchnia, dwie duże łazienki w każdej jest prysznic i toaleta. W mieszkaniu mogło by swobodnie mieszkać nawet 8 osób. Przy domu jest tylko jedno miejsce parkingowe. Jeśli przyjedziesz w dwa samochody jeden trzeba parkować ok 300 m dalej na ulicy ale nie jest to duży problem. Do przystanku skibusa jest ok 150 m.
