Tolerable, so much room for improvement.

Lovely peaceful location, there is road noise in the background, but it's not overly loud, it's not a noisy bypass with constant traffic, but it is the main road serving the peninsula which can fairly busy at times. I'd done my research and knew that before we arrived, the lodge is down in a garden a good distance from the road, so it is just a background noise. The lodge is actually set in a beautiful garden, and the hedges to its side and rear are very well maintained and kept back from the actual building. Good water pressure in the shower, works better than expected. Hosts are lovely and very welcoming.

Just feels like the place needs some money spending on it, new beds and mattresses, new dining chairs. I had to sleep with my head at the foot of the double bed, or my shoulders and head were down in a huge dip. The double doors at the entrance don't both open, that needs to be sorted so you can air the place properly, some sort of awning, over the front door would do a lot to keep the sun off the glass doors and heating the place up so much. The second door doesn't open either so you can't get a breeze to run through the property. Surfaces are covered with ornaments, a bit of a pet hate of mine, where are staying guests supposed to put their stuff? The microwave should be on the shelf below it, that would allow more kitchen workspace, it's all a bit too tight with the baby belling style oven right next to the microwave which is then right next to the draining board whilst the shelf underneath is currently pretty redundant. I can't understand why the large table is set up in what could be a perfectly good turning circle for a car? The table should be down below in the garden area, I know that moves it away from the BBQ, but maybe that ought to be moved too. The Wi-Fi is the slowest we've ever encountered, and we are used to patchy Wi-Fi here in Cornwall, it definitely needs boosting to be usable nowadays. None of the bits are massive dealbreakers, as someone who runs a holiday let myself, it's just disappointing that there are so many little improvements that could be made to make this place amazing.

Very enjoyable , we would stay again

Very quiet, clean, good location, helpful hosts, all that was needed was supplied Good road access and not too far from a good beach at Llanbedrog

no UK TV main channels, no BBC1 or BBC2 no ITV, luckily the internet connection was good enough to stream. A wheelchair ramp would have helped, my wife was in a wheelchair and using a walking frame after being knocked off her bicycle a few weeks ago, So we were probably the first disabled persons to use the chalet, at the time of booking we were expecting a weeks cycling and walking. Grab bars are needed in the toilet and bathroom, the bedroom doorway is not wide enough to get a walking frame through, this is caused by a doorstop that if moved 2cms would allow access with a walking frame, the shelf in the toilet is not fixed and falls off when touched. The step in is too high to pull a wheel chair over, this is not clear from the photos, a ramp would also help with anyone using a pushchair with young children. These are minor things which are easily fixed at low cost, and would not cause any problem to a able bodied family

Accommodation was small, smelled musty, externally the paint was peeling and weeds/grass growing through the decked area. There were beach loungers there but had to be propped up against property for safety. Inside there was a musty smell, very dated and extremely small bedrooms, double bedroom had no space to move around bed and spiders in the pillows. There was cobwebs and spiders in other bedroom. LIST of issues reported to the owner and to Sykes because the 4 nights stay lasted 15 hours! AWFUL could not get away quick enough.

Relaxing & the ideal venue to get away from the world.

The chalet is set in a magical garden, like something out of a fairy story. I spent moments talking to Willem about his passion for the garden.

Location and proximity to Pwllheli. Warm, welcoming coupe who own the chalet.. Lovely wine and chocolate on arrival.

To be picky for the sake of it, slightly dusty behind the bed and on the blinds.. Maybe a bigger sign to make it easier to find from the main road, but far more positives to say than negative..

Small chalet, excellent value, lovely quiet location

Lovely location, quiet spot just off main road. Compact chalet well equipped with basic kitchen tools and appliances, towels and cleaning materials

Limited storage space for clothing, only two of us it would have been difficult with four sharing as only one small hanging/shelving cupboard. Also limited hooks/rails for wet towels in bathrooms

Nice quiet place in Northern Wales, close to touristy places around the area.

It is a really nice place, quiet, outside Pwllheli, surrounded by nature, it was very pretty. The weather was turning very autumn chilly, but the place had heating available. It was very cosy, the bed was comfortable and the duvet was amazingly warm. Spacious, good kitchen, comfortable living room area. Host was really nice and welcoming.

Amazing property

The owners were very nice and welcoming and all of the rooms were very clean and tidy. The beds and sofas were incredibly comfortable and presented very well with extra pillows to a blanket neatly folded on top of the duvet. The decorations were nice as well with the driftwood shelves and picture frames. The view was absolutely beautiful too.

Long weekend at Castell

The property Is cute and has everything you Need. The area around Is perfect for Kids, safe and Wide.

We had to take the rubbish all the way back to Chester as the owner told Is there was a non Just outside the property which was not there. We drove to find One but nothing. I think as an owner you should allow girata to use your bins.

Nice chalet, Fab location, Unsafe water system

The location was lovely, peaceful, very private, outside seats to relax on, the chalet itself was spottles and had everything in it you would need, lots of utensils... Well equipped, cosy, comfy bed , left milk and wine and chocolate plus tea and coffee which was nice. If had better safer water system we would have stayed there as was more than happy there , very disappointed!!

The fact it didn't have any central heating system, was freezing in the morning, only one mobile oil heater and blow heater in the living room, The water system was out of date and not fit for purpose, it would go hot then cold very easily , I had to boil the kettle to wash the dishes and my face at night, the shower was a disgrace and very dangerous, he told us was a bit TEMPERAMENTAL!, needed to play around with it to get it right but in our book was not safe, it would go scalding hot then freezing, I couldn't have a shower, was too nervous,this is totaly unacceptable, down right disgrace. we only stayed one night, checked out next day and got somewhere else with a cracking shower that worked!!! And was SAFE!!! And hot water that STAYED HOT!!

Great location, lovely little place with a nice outdoor space and wonderful hosts

Lovely little chalet which is walking distance to beach. Has most kitchen amenities etc. for a short stay There’s a lovely outdoor space, with BBQ and outdoor seating. Peaceful place with lots of nature. Hosts were really welcoming and friendly, and the wine and chocolate was a nice treat!

Water temp in shower was a bit fiddly to get right but once you find the right flow speed etc.it was okay.

Great location, lovely hosts, close to some great beaches. Plenty of garden for the kids to explore and run around.

Obviously being a caravan it can get cold at night when the overnight temperatures drop, so could be worth taking an extra fan heater if you go out of season

Lovely private location, well kept Chalet with great hosts.

Host's were fantastic. Nice fresh flowers and a bottle of wine waiting for us on the dinning table. The Chalet was presented in good order, clean fresh just as advertised. We were given clear instructions regarding the use of the appliances and admin points such as rubbish disposal and parking. We were left alone and felt safe in our secluded area with "no Covid 19 issues".

The mini oven and hob was located on a high platform causing difficult cooking tasks such as preparing breakfasts. The hot water temperature was low and temperamental especially when showering. The mattress in the 2nd bedroom was uncomfortable and could do with a change. There was no iron supplied.
