Just what I needed….

It was outside of busy Ubud which was great..the staff were lovely the view was incredible - breakfast was fine. I took a taxi into Ubud but it’s definitely walkable - with a few shops and restaurants on the way. The pool overlooking the river by the breakfast bar is a great soot..!

Paradise at Kadewa

Kadewa Retreat was superb! A perfect little paradise in a quiet and secluded area outside Ubud. The road in is not fully sealed but our private drivers as well as a couple Grabs during our stay managed it fine. We stayed in one of the garden view villas which was perfect for us - great room with good aircon, and very private. There are a lot of stairs at Kadewa, so not a suitable venue if that is a problem for you - we had about 20-30 steps from the road/entrance down to our room, then another 20 or so down to the main pool and restaurant. From there, another 100 or so down to the river where the day spa was located, so we did only make that trip once! The restaurant and pool area was divine, with a stunning view across the valley with the river below. The breeze here was great, making it a great spot to sit and escape the heat any time of day. The restaurant menu was not super extensive, but more than enough variety for our 5 day stay and we thoroughly enjoyed every meal!

STAFF: Amazing! Absolutely loved them, they were all extremely helpful, welcoming and lovely. ACCOMMODATION: Beautiful, Amazing, Quiet, Peaceful. Definitely what we were looking for when we booked and this place was top notch. Clean (they also offered to clean each day)

Absolutely beautiful and everything we hoped it would be.

Kadewa is in a wonderful location with uniterrupted views of the river below. It was beautiful and the photos lived up to the retreat in real life. As it is an adults only retreat with 10 villas it was peaceful and at times, we had the pool totally to ourselves.

Kadewa is in a wonderful location, although the 5/10 taxi drivers had issues locating it. We kept the same driver for the majority of our stay due to this reason.

Lovely resort we booked two properties both lovely but very different, they were clean and well equipped. Both had access to a pool,

Due to flooding that took place a couple moths prior to our stay the resort had building work previous to our arrival at different locations meaning we couldn’t access the bar/restaurant on arrival until works had been completed in time for evening meal. The building behind one of our properties was being built, with building work also taking place below our other property, meaning we didn’t feel able to relax at the pool which was adjacent to the work or relax on the properties veranda. The hot tub/Jacuzzi next to the pool had no water.

Stunning accommodation and super helpful staff. We ended up booking an extra night as we enjoyed Ubud so much. Taxis are needed as it’s not in the centre, but so worth it for the views and surroundings. Taxis are cheap and it’s not far from centre

Wonderful stay at kadewa retreat, highly recommended

We had the most amazing time at Kadewa retreat, nestled away in the jungle by the river but about 20 minutes from the centre by bike (you can’t have it all). The staff was very friendly and helpful, they arranged a special bed decoration for our honeymoon and helped with bike rental. The room had everything we needed, including complementary tea and coffee. We particularly appreciated our river house bathroom which was partially outdoor and made us feel close to nature but still respecting our privacy. The food was also very good Thank you again

Absolutely worth it, breathtaking place!

Stunning views of the surrounding nature, the infinity pool overlooks a river and the scenery is amazing. Very clean and the villas were lovely.

It is a little bit out of the way for any activities so you will need to rent a bike or get a taxi but the staff are more than willing to accommodate.

Peaceful and wonderful

The setting is beautiful. We had a view of the stream below, which was very relaxing. The pools are also incredible – one at the top and another one a bit lower down. The rooms were very clean, spotless. The staff were very pleasant, helpful, and always smiling. The meals we were served were all delicious! Breakfast has to be chosen the night before, but it was incredible! We also loved the massage you offered us, accompanied by tea afterwards. We were also given a mosquito repellent device and spray, which we really appreciated!

If we may suggest a few small improvements with all respect and kindness, it would be the following: the outdoor bathtub is nice, but it might be more comfortable with a small cushion to support the neck (as it is quite hard). We also found it a little unfortunate that coconuts were only served upon arrival, but not in the restaurant. I love them and I really missed having them there. I noticed that you are working on a cocktail and dessert menu, which is great because it is definitely important for tourists. There were unfortunately not many sodas available either. There was indeed some construction noise around, but it wasn’t such a big deal. We understand that tourism is important, and that this is a developing country, so it’s perfectly fine for us! A very small detail to add: at the pool during the day, the same music was often playing – we would have enjoyed a bit more variety. Music is life, after all! Other than that, this is a very good hotel, and it really deserves high ratings! Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity!

Beautiful gardens and views. The room was also very nice and comfortable. Everything was extremely well presented and just a beautiful place to be.

Contruction noise! Unfortunately the construction noise was a significant downside of the accommodation. Also, I felt the service aspect was not as good as other experiences we have had in Bali.

Get away from the hustle and bustle of Ubud and surrender to the tranquility, relaxation of Kadewa.

The rooms were very comfortable and the staff were superb. Super friendly and always obliging. The scenery was gorgeous by the infinity pool which I loved! The almost daily massages were wonderfully relaxing.

I would have liked more options with the meals and drinks on offer.

Fantastic stay near Ubud!

This might’ve been the best place we stayed in in Indonesia. The villa is super comfy and beautiful and the resort is very charming. We had a great breakfast here, both Indonesian and Western options available. Great coffee as well. The staff was super friendly and kind and we had a nice chat with them. They arranged a scooter within a very short period of time, which comes in handy when you want to visit several please nearby. I can’t recommend a place more than this one, please go here!!

Great retreat for a relaxing stay

Kadewa Retreat is in a very calm and tranquil spot. The people are incredibly friendly and will help you with anything. Our stay was easy and lovely.

Even though it is nice to be able to escape the busy city life of Ubud, it was at times a bit difficult to get into the city. It is very easy to get a Grab but in the morning around 10 and in the afternoon around 4 it was very busy on the road because there is only 1 main road to get to Ubud centre. Apart from that, there is also not much to be seen near the retreat (within walking distance). This is something to keep in mind.

Small criticism… I like a ceiling fan directly over me so I don’t always have to have air conditioner on however these beds have an overhead canopy that blocks the ceiling fan therefore the air conditioner had to remain on for comfort temperature.

Great vacation location!

The pool was nice, massage was great, breakfast was okay also. Each villa was cute and cozy and clean. They cleaned the rooms every day. Every staff member was very nice and kind and friendly.

It was slightly far from the city centre of Ubid and with traffic, the transportation time was quite long. Also, there seemed to be some wild life nearby that made some noise in the night which frightened me but I got used to it.

We truly enjoyed our stay at the hotel! The property and the views were absolutely amazing. The rooms were spacious, clean, and beautifully designed. Most of all, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our visit. Thank you for making our stay so memorable

The only thing we found a bit challenging was the distance from Ubud center. Due to frequent traffic, it sometimes took up to 45 minutes to get there. However, the peaceful and relaxing atmosphere of the hotel made up for it.

The location was 30 minutes out of town so very remote but it did make it very peaceful, plus the fact that it was a very small property with few guests. The staff were wonderful. Had a great massage. Spacious bathroom with two separate vanities

Definitely stay here!

My sister and I stayed here for a girls trip, and the property was just absolutely stunning. None of the photo's truly do this place justice, and I would definitely return here. It is tranquil, the food was lovely, and so were the drinks. The staff were super helpful if we needed anything. They also organized the driver for us, who was awesome, since you can't use Grab or other online driver services (which is the right thing to do - support local, not a company). The driver was less expensive than Grab as well. The bed was comfy, our room was great, the food and drinks we had each morning and night was good - I would definitely return here for another stay.

The only thing that I didn't like was that the gorgeous bathtub - it is outside your room in the garden - when I went to use it, the water ran out of hot water when it was only about 10% full, and it never came back on. I never got a chance to tell the staff about it, Villa 2, but it wasn't that big of a deal. I just wanted to try out a tub in a garden.

Exceptional

Kadewa is a little paradise off the hustle and bustle of downtown Ubud. There are only 8 Villas on the property. You have the rainforest as a view, an infinity pool, and great breakfast options (especially for short stays). The staff were fantastic and accommodating. I indicated that our travel was for our anniversary and they formed a "happy anniversary" message made of rose petals on our bed. I think that's just the sweetest.
