The hiden gem.

The hotel is wonderful. A good old Bali. Clean, green, and quiet. But still close to the Ubud center. The restaurant is perfect as well. We will return there for sure.

Loved it, how to come back again sometime soon.

Great breakfasts with lots to choose from. Large spacious villas, very clean, great service. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. A wonderful pool to go with it. Tito Batu also provided a great space with a variety of activities for our kids who ranged in age from 10 to 21.

Perfect jungle getaway.

Incredible everything. We will be back. We initially booked 3 nights but had to extend to a fourth. Next time will stay a week. Perfect location just out of Ubud. Staff were amazing, restaurant was great. Perfect place to relax or use as a base to explore ubud and all the activities.

Absolutely amazing property. We loved everything and would happily book again.

We loved everything about this accommodation. The staff were fabulous, room was exceptional and food was amazing.A little bit away from the centre but we preferred to be out of it a little. We had a large group with 5 different types of rooms booked, from a single to the three bedroom villa.

The only thing we would recommend is advising guests when they do the mozzie fogging. We were glad we entertained the restaurant staff when we thought there was a fire. 😂

I stayed here bc of retreat and it was convinient. The ataff was incredible both from the front desk to the restaurant.

Very peaceful and the staff was very attentive and accommodating.

Perfect family getaway

The property is located away from the city center, making it a great place for families to relax together. It is perfect for those who want to unwind in a villa away from the hustle and bustle. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The gym, which was within walking distance from the villa, was spacious, well-equipped with many machines, and absolutely excellent.

To reach the villa’s restaurant, guests need to go down a flight of stairs. My elderly father, who has difficulty walking, nearly tripped. Extra caution is needed at night as the lighting is mostly indirect.

Loved our stay here - beautiful staff, villa and facilities.

We loved our stay at Surya Kembar villas. Our 3 bedroom villa was spacious - huge! We had 3 kids and 2 parents. The parents room was a completely separate building, down a garden path with the other 2 bedrooms up near the main living area of the villa. This suited us with 3 teens but we did wonder how suitable this would be for parents with younger children. I don't think this would be suitable. Too far away and you wouldn't hear if they needed you during the night. Our pool was lovely and clean.....a little cool being July but we still enjoyed swimming. The stand out for us were the staff and the onsite restaurant. Amazing. Every staff member was attentive to everything you asked or needed. They couldn't do enough for us. The onsite restaurant was so good too. We ate here a few times (including room service one night) because it was so good. Make sure you try their ribs too! Our favourite.

We can't really think of anything we didn't like about this place. Keep in mind it is a bit of a drive into the main part of Ubud so be prepared for that, especially with the traffic. Easy to get a grab car out the front though.

One of the best in Southern Ubud

Location- southern part of ubud, slightly away from the busy ubud street, peaceful atmosphere. Transportation- 4km ride / 20 mins to center ubud, scooter available for rental at the stay. Room- spacious, comfortable, clean Staff- attentive and friendly Food- variety of breakfasts option Facilities- Free access to Titi Batu Ubud Club, 160m away from the Villas.

Cleanliness of toilet/ bath tub area - stains and mole on floor tiles and bath tub, poor maintenance.

Enjoyed my stay a lot and would stay here again!

The staff is AMAZING!! Such kind young women in the reception and they totally made my stay worth while. The communications were great and I could always get quick answers to my questions on WhatsApp. Various selection for breakfast which was great. I was able to check in early which was a big plus. My room was clean although a little worn down, but overall I had a great stay. I was greeted with beautiful flowers all over the room and a cute message on the bed. The staff were able to give me a private offering making class which enhanced my experience of the Balinese culture, it was beautiful. It’s located in a nice calm area of Ubud without the stressful traffic on the outside, yet only 10 minutes to get to the city. The hotel has shuttles three times a day that can take you to the city center. There are nice restaurants, spas and sportsclubs in the area. I totally recommend✨

It’s very humid, and because of that I think there might’ve been mold in my room. There was a little smell, but since I didn’t spend that much time in my room it was not a problem. Also it was possible to open doors on both sides of the room to weather it out.

Wonderful stay

The resort is beautiful and relaxing, the staff very kind and professional, the restaurant serves excellent cocktails and meals and the quality of the breakfast is great! Everything was clean and well maintained and the location is great if you want to be in a quiet area, but still close enough to Ubud’s center.

There is nothing I didn’t like! The only downside was the humidity in the room, but this is a common issue in the area and it was very rainy during our stay

Thank you for hosting us Surya Kembar Villas - genuinely superb accommodation and perfect as a starting point to unwind and refresh after a long trip from the UK. Four of us stayed in a very spacious, detached villa with a separate villa alongside. Both were well designed. extremely clean and very well equipped. We loved the thoughtful architecture and calm space which was a wonderful contrast to the hustle and pace of Ubud. The property had a large private pool amidst beautiful planting and lots of quiet areas to sit and relax. The villas have easy access to access to a truly wonderful restaurant area. Lovely and highly competent staff who were universally friendly and helpful. Food was very good - we ate like kings at breakfast with a wide and varied selection of dishes. Evening meal was equally memorable with a good choice of local fish and fresh ingredients. The residence offers complimentary access to a nearby leisure and sports complex - a very stylish spot (with its fair share of digital nomads) where we swam, drank a few Bintangs, and joined a yoga session. Amongst a lot of highlights the staff stood out as exceptional - in particular the front of house. Mia and her colleagues were extremely helpful and very welcoming - thank you.

We had a 2 bedroom villa with private pool as a family of four. It was an excellent option for us.

Good breakfast off the menu (not buffet) with a few nice options. Coffee was good too. Private pool was excellent Staff were lovely and helpful whenever we needed them Access to the Titi Batu club next door is a great bonus. Excellent gym, sauna, pools, cafe and great fun for kids (activities regularly) Very spacious 2 bedroom villa. Note: rooms are not connected in case you have little children who like to come find you in the middle of the night 😂

Filthy bedding

We checked out at bedtime after pulling back the covers and seeing dead bugs, stains, blood stains and filth in the bed. They offered to change the bedding but what was underneath was even more horrific. Mould over the pillows and the duvet was filthy. We had to check out and leave at 10.30pm. The Gojek was waiting, it was pouring of rain and they made me pay 60k for a tiny drop of milk requested for the room (because tea bags and milk aren’t provided) of which I chucked out as the fridge was filthy and kettle full of limescale . I thought this was tone deaf considering we were having to leave the hotel due to lack of cleanliness. This was 4+ hotel with a 9+ rating so this was very disappointing and ruined the plans and bookings we made in Ubud for the next day.

Amazing Hidden Gem

Gorgeous property nestled into the jungle landscape , huge beautiful room , private vanishing edge pool , helpful friendly, attentive staff , excellent food and service . I can’t say enough about this Villa . Amazing ! I would 100 percent recommend staying here . We were sad to leave .

Stunning property.

The 2 bedroom villa was stunning. 2 separate bungalows with a large pool in between. Fully stocked kitchen with cutlery, cups, coffee, microwave, stove and kettle. Staff were very helpful. Breakfast at the restaurant was excellent. It's a la carte and not a Buffet. A convenience store 5min walk away was helpful.

Some of the staff at reception were not able to understand simple English so at times it was very difficult to communicate. Not a big deal.

Hidden gem

Tucked away in a quiet place with extra ordinary people made the stay memorable. Very nice restaurant with excellent food and rice field view. Access to the sports club next door helped us to workout everyday and indulge in nice food without guilt.

Probably just the location would be challenging if you were on your own. We used a scooter everyday and the traffic was insane. My partner is very confident on a bike so it was ok but if you weren't, it would be stressful.

Staff very friendly and accommodating and easy to communicate with through wats app. Facilities are brilliant, especially having use of Titi Batu club. Breakfasts were a great start to the day with a wide variety of items on the menu which suited the whole family.

Lovely accommodation, nice and quiet and peaceful. The staff were all so lovely, especially the girls at reception - so smiley and helpful, big thank you to them . Villa was clean and pool was great.
