Completely unique place to stay in a beautiful hill town,

The staff was very helpful, flexible, and easy to contact as they are running the restaurant downstairs. Out room was very large and had an adjoining area with a small table and nicely stocked refrigerator.. The breakfast was excellent. The restaurant is also excellent and well worth making a reservation.

The bed could have been a bit firmer.

A fantastic stay at Le Case della Saracca. Love this nice small hotell in this 1000 years old building - and the host Guilio was very helpful and warm. Perfect place for wine lovers :-)

Such a wonderful and unique place, especially for wine lovers

It is always such a treat staying here, the hotel is unique and very comfortable. Built into the side of a cliff, and made up of four connected medieval buildings, each room is different and connected though a series of hallways and caverns. The bar and restaurant on the ground floor are terrific, and the wine list - and wine cellars - are exceptional, and with an encyclopedia selection from Barolo. Giulio and his team go out of their way to ensure a lovely stay. We are always treated like good friends who have come to visit.

It was perfect, but guests should note that - because the hotel is within the pedestrianized part of the old town - it is not possible to drive to the door. However, ample parking is usually available close by.

A unique hotel! The rooms were unlike anything I have stayed at, the view from the small balcony was amazing, it was an adventure to walk through the "labyrinth" to get to the room and to the bar, lovely restaurant with an amazing wine list, great service!

The wifi did not work that well but it was not a big problem for us as we have the option of using regular data on the phones, the hotel is at the top of town so there is a bit of uphill to get back to the hotel if you have been walking in the village center

Unique stay in Monforte d’Alba

Super unique, clean and very friendly and helpfull staff. Giulio can arrange visits with vineyards, and has an excellent wine bar in the first floor. His cellar is also amazing.

Wondefully quirky boutique hotel in a fantastic location with delightful owner and staff.

This is a place with extraordinary character and history, beautifully restored into a boutique hotel and restaurant. The rooms are stylishly simple but the building, essentially a series of medieval caves, is stunningly creative in itself and needs little dressing up. The food is excellent, the wine list extensive (and that’s even before you get to the off-list collection!) and Giuglio is a wonderful host. Nothing is too much trouble for him, whether rustling up some pasta for us when we arrived late, helping with itineraries or phoning restaurants and wineries. We had a fantastic time and cannot recommend it more highly. A true 10/10!

Perfect stay in the heart of Monforte, we loved staying inside the walls of an almost 1000 year old castle

Exceptional

A beautiful place where past (many centuries-old building) meets present (comfort, airco, great bed, splendid mix with steel and glass) both at the hotel as well as the adjacent restaurant. Great personal hospitality displayed by Giulio and his team made you feel welcome and taken care of. The restaurant has an impressive winelist with over 100 Barolo wines from the local area, to only be multiplied with Barolo’s from further afield, Barbarescos, Barberas, Dolcettos and many other which combine great with the Piedmontese food on the menu. An adventure for the senses in many ways! No wonder many of his guests return year after year, and we definitely aim to come back in the near future! Grazie mille Giulio

Fantastisk nye opplevelser på Saracca

Autentisk og rustikt i dette renoverte og ombygde bygget fra middelalderen. Noe helt spesielt og enestående. Skiller seg fra alle andre hoteller. Personalet med eier Giulio gir virkelig valuta for pengene. Fantastisk service, svært god restaurant på stedet - og vi blir ivaretatt på alle områder. En av Piemontes’ beste vinkjellere på stedet.

Vi bodde på hotellet och åt vår första middag i hotellets restaurang! Underbar miljö, fantastisk service och otroligt god mat! Mycket serviceinriktad personal som hjälpte oss att hitta rätt bland vingårdar, mysiga byar o till närmsta gym. Rummen var helt fantastiska! Går inte ens att beskriva med bilder, måste upplevas !
