Simply superb

Our hosts were superb, so hospitable, so friendly and had great knowledge of the area. We arrived on the Wednesday and it was my wife’s birthday, they recommended several restaurants for us to check, and when we had chosen, they booked for us. The cooked breakfast each morning was delicious. One outstanding thing - we had booked for dinner on Thursday evening, but due to the motorway closing and local roads being flooded, we could not get something to eat, we arrived back at the gite and they asked was all ok. We told them our tale of woe, and to our eternal gratitude, they made us a delicious supper. The gite itself is beautiful, an 18th century farm, with well appointed rooms and very centrally located. I can’t speak highly enough of everything. I highly recommend you stay here if you get the chance.

Exceptionally friendly and helpful hosts with a great knowledge of the area and the D Day landings in particular. Very welcoming and quick to advise on the best places to eat and visit. The Ferme is in a lovely, quiet location yet very near to the village of Set Mere Elise with cafes and restaurants. I would definitely go back.

Wonderfully hospitable hosts. We were treated like it was our own home and received unexpected refreshments to our delight. The property is stunning and well kept with history and seclusion also. Every effort was made to guide me and my father towards appropriate places to visit. A real delight.

Amazing!

A wonderful location with excellent facilities. The host, Luc, is a true host who immediately made us feel most welcome and at home. He cooked us a wonderful dinner accompanied with dessert and a fine selection of wine and Calvados, all free of charge. He's very open and told us about his family, previous guests with whom he shares good memories and told fascinating local stories about World War II. A great place for anyone to stay! Un accueil exceptionnel et un séjour très agréable et reposant.

Nous avons passé trois nuits très agréables grâce, en particulier, à la prévenance des hôtes qui ont tout fait pour nous accueillir dans les meilleures conditions et nous ont donné, dès notre arrivée, de multiples indications (accompagnées de dépliants et cartes IGN) sur les activités à pratiquer dans la région et les visites à effectuer. Le petit-déjeuner, pris sur la table d'un grand salon au charme d'autrefois était délicieux et abondant : yaourts, fruits, confitures, pain, beurre et croissants avec thé ou café à volonté. Dans la journée nous avons pu profiter de l'ombre (appréciable par temps chaud) des salons pour lire ou nous reposer et des transats du beau jardin, installés au soleil.

ce qui pourrait être amélioré n est pas de la compétence des hôtes mais à Ste Mère l'Eglise deux restaurants ouverts seulement et peu de places ; tous les autres commerces étaient fermés

Un accueil chaleureux dans une demeure possédant beaucoup de charme ! Véronique et Luc sont attentionnés, disponibles et connaissent parfaitement leur région et son histoire. Le petit déjeuner est copieux et la chambre spacieuse. Tout les éléments pour passer un agréable séjour sont réunis. Nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir !
