Highly recommended stay in Northeastern Normandy near Ste Mere Eglise.
Breakfast was typical French - cheese and fresh breads, coffee and tea, juices. Beautiful dining room in the 17th century chateau. Fresh fruits from the property were delicious. Denis was an excellent host. We showed up relatively late and had not eaten dinner. Within half an hour we were sated with food and a bottle of Pommeau provided by our hoste.

Lovely original Chateau with a friendly family living their dream. Great for a 2 nights stay.
The driveway to the Chateau was very impressive and we loved the warm welcome we received from the owners and their black Labrador dog. Our room was very clean, spacious and the bathroom was a good size too, which overlooked the Chateau grounds. Lovely original features which were a bonus. It was also handy to place items in their pantry fridge for later on and the use of the microwave. Breakfast was ample with a good variety to choose from. We met the owner's son, cat and even their one pet sheep who was happily grazing on the land. We had a great stay, thank you.

    Great traditional place
Nice little Chateau. Special place. Traditional house. Friendly owner welcomed us and gave good information on the region. (You certainly need a car or you are a biker). Spacious room and bathroom, clean.

    Rustic charm did not disappoint!
I chose this property to allow my family to experience traditional old style rural French living and I think this house is absolutely that so probably not for anyone wanting modern influence. The location gave quiet tranquility yet only minutes from the major route to all the places we wanted to visit so great location. The rooms were all a good size , clean and traditionally French in decoration and furniture - no mod cons here! The hosts were around if you cared to find them as they went about their home jobs and they offered good recommendations of places to visit and good restaurant choices. There were travellers here from all different nationalities so conversation at the breakfast table was most enjoyable.
As a family our French is limited (our fault) so I would say it would be useful to have a menu or note on the table to say what is available for breakfast. We did not know for example that hot chocolate was available on request and we would have chosen that if we’d have known.
