Wonderful stay.!

Owner Sophie was welcoming and friendly. Enjoyed meeting Lupo, her dog. Sophie told us what she knew about the farmhouse and has hosted several WW2 vets in her home. Room was large, comfortable, and clean. Simple but delicious breakfast with Sophies own harvested honey, fresh local apple juice and homemade bread.

Lovely peaceful, relaxing stay

This is one of the best B&Bs we have stayed in. Our room was very spacious with a lovely king size, comfy bed. Sophie and Claude were wonderful hosts and did everything to make us feel welcome. Breakfasts were great, sitting in their dining room and chatting about places to visit locally. We also enjoyed sitting out in the garden with a glass of wine in the evenings, so relaxing and peaceful.

The bed and breakfast of Normandie!

You are missing out if you don’t stay here! The owners are very nice and make you feel at home. Go take a walk on Utah beach around 0600 and be back for breakfast around 0800. You won’t regret it. Close to Sainte Mere Eglise, Utah Beach, Major Winters statue, Brecourt Manor, Angoville and Sainte Marie du Mont. If this bed and breakfast is available, you better book it!

Amazing breakfast. Everything is homemade, with home grown ingredients, and totally delicious. Bed very comfortable. Shower is good and the soaps smell fab! Great location, close to nature and tranquil. Very restful. Host is lovely and you lack nothing! Would love to stay longer.

Old rustic charm, with a modern twist

The establishment is fantastic. The accommodation is clean, tidy, and well presented. Our host Sophie was lovely and spoke good English. Breakfast was excellent with homemade breads, yoghurts with fresh fruit, and a traditional bowl for tea or coffee. Yes, you read a bowl correctly. The area is great for getting around the nearby WW2 Normandy Invasion Museums. We would highly recommend this lovely quiet country, B&B.

A perfect night in Utah Beach!

Sophie is one of the best hosts we have ever encountered. Her property was just right for us and our visit to Utah Beach. Breakfast was tasty and had local fare. Accommodations were great, especially for sleeping a family of six. We loved the very French experience staying in the countryside, but so close to Utah Beach.

Unique property. Just right for me.

The facility is an old stone farmhouse (large) being lovingly renovated by the owners. They're doing one area at a time. My room was large, comfortable, and very contemporary. And, quiet. I will probably return next spring at my expense to work on the restoration for several months. Just a lovely couple with a great project.

The owners are absolutely lovely - helpful and welcoming. Breakfast was delicious and held for us even though we came down late. The location was perfect - minutes from the beach and our family room had a private loft for our son. The place itself was amazing, our room was super clean - we would definitely stay here again.

Staying at the Relais de la Liberte was a delight. The setting is a beautiful courtyard and our room was spacious, clean and beautifully decorated. Sophie provides tea, coffee for the room and toiletries. There were so many thoughtful touches. Breakfast was delicious, a selection of breads and fresh waffles. Sophie called Le Grand Hard restaurant and booked us a table, we had a superb meal. This was definitely our favourite place to stay during our week of touring by bike.

I wish there were more places like this -- comfortable and great value for money!

Thanks to Brian's review, I decided to stay at the Relais de la Liberté with two teenagers while we visited the D-Day beaches. We could not have picked a better base both in terms of the accommodation and the location. We only stayed one night, but the accommodation was great -- comfortable beds, great linens, plenty of space and very calm. The owners are lovely -- very friendly and welcoming. I really appreciated the loft set up and being able to just reserve one room for our family -- with very tall teenagers we usually have to take two rooms. (Note that the loft stairs are steep and might not be a good fit for everyone.) The rooms are scrupulously clean and recently (and very nicely) renovated. The location was AMAZING. Sainte-Marie-Du-Mont was our favorite part of our trip to Normandy. It is absolutely small and charming and one imagines that very little has changed since the 1940s. I last visited the beaches in the 1980s and I was disappointed to see how much the beaches had been commercialized - visitors centers galore. One escapes that in Sainte-Marie-du-Mont. At the height of midsummer -- we drove to Utah beach at 9:45pm -- there was still light and we had a beautiful beach to ourselves. The Relais is quite near the location of Brecourt Manor which was quite a hit with my kids who are Band of Brothers fans. I would not hesitate to stay again or recommend to others.

The place was very cute and quaint. The hostess was very sweet and helpful. The rooms were really nice and comfortable. The breakfast was fruits, coffee, tea, bread, butter, cheese and on the second day the hostess make crapes for us.

I didn't mind the location, I knew was a bit far out with but it was very quiet.

Wat een prachtig gelegen en mooi complex met een mooie historie aan bezoekers. De kamer was top, lekker ruim met een prima bed en complete ruime badkamer. Het ontbijt was prima verzorgd door de hosts, iedere ochtend was er een lekkere specialiteit bij. Parkeren kon op eigen terrein, er waren heel veel bezienswaardigheden in de directe omgeving. Absoluut aanbevelenswaardig! Aai aan Lupo 🐶

Ruhige gemütliche Lage. Nahe zum nächsten Dorf mit netten kleinen Restaurants. Guter Ausgangspunkt um Oma H Beach und Uta Beach zu besichtigen. Netter kleiner Garten . Super nette Gastgeberin - die Marmelade und der Honig beim Frühstück waren selber gemacht, auch der Kuchen. Alles einfach top
