Wonderfully peaceful and comfortable stay.

Idyllic location, very well-appointed, the most beautiful garden, chickens and rabbits in the neighbouring field! Great to have a croquet lawn and the pool table for the evenings. Nick was a charming host.

A quirky farmhouse in a peaceful setting

This farmhouse is in a beautiful, peaceful, rural location, with views across the fields. The décor inside is very quirky, which gives it a lot of character. The beds were comfortable and the bedding top quality. We loved the fact that when we arrived on a wet afternoon, after a disrupted journey, the log burner was already lit and the lounge lovely and cozy. We also appreciated the thoughtful provision of recently-published magazines and thoroughly enjoyed making use of the pool table. The owner, Nick, who lives in an adjoined section of the farmhouse, is a good source of tips about local pubs, and we had a lovely Sunday Roast at a pub he recommended. Thank you Nick!

We loved everything about the property. A true home- from-home, we wanted for nothing. The small, fully equipped kitchen enabled us to cook a full meal before retiring to the cosy lounge for the evening to relax and chat in-front of the large screen TV. We didn’t take advantage of the numerous board games, DVDs, croquet lawn or full-size pool table but there’s certainly plenty to keep everyone of all ages occupied! Located approximately 10 minutes from the M5, Beautiful Farmhouse is set in the stunning Devon countryside. Cullompton, is just a short drive away; there you’ll find an Aldi and Tesco for all you self-catering needs.The hosts have thoughtfully placed local restaurant and tourist information leaflets within the accommodation. The house is immaculately clean, and the beds are so comfy you’re guaranteed a great night’s sleep. We loved the decorative style and the photos don’t do this stunning property justice. Nick the host, who lives in the adjoining cottage, was warm and welcoming. His communication prior to our arrival was superb; nothing was too much trouble thank you !

Collecting the keys was simply a matter of arranging to and meeting the host. The location was outstanding: tranquil, beautiful and very relaxing. The facilities and décor were both outstanding and charming.

The stay was unique and restorative for a true home away from home.

Beautifully and artfully decorated with attention to detail. Gardens were picture perfect too! There were spacious areas for recreation, relaxation and games (eg billiards). 3 large bedrooms. Plush pillows and thick doonas supported a long, dreamy sleep for all. Brochures (things to do), magazines, DVDs, books, and other useful items created a homely and thoughtful touch, especially for our teens. The owner showed us the chickens laying and the sheep 🐑 added to farm life experience. Overall it was a perfect stay!

Very quiet. Lovely garden and surrounds. Was nice to be able to sit out in the garden in the evening for a couple of drinks with our friends.

Nothing much - except an extra towel rail or two in the bathroom would be good. (Also, a toilet brush). Being on a farm, the name of the property, is hard to see because of the hedging blocking it.

Lovely characterful accommodation with beautiful views of the countryside from every room. Great bathrooms, well furnished, comfortable beds with good quality linen - everything clean and well presented.

Absolutely nothing that we didn't like. Only possible additions helpful for families might be a washing machine/dryer and dishwasher.

Stunning location. Peace and quiet. Very friendly host and excellent facilities. Recommendations for local eateries was useful as we were only on a short stay. We did not travel to the coast but believe it is a half hour car journey. Some quiet local villages nearby.

no towels no welcome gift (milk bread or wine) no toilet downstairs no dishwasher pots on display not in cupboards access road very narrow hedge needs cutting n lots of potholes. No wardrobe nowhere to hang clothes only on back of door if you’d taken own hangers no dressing table nowhere to sit dry hair A few alterations n it would be fabulous. Not disabled friendly but fine for the able bodied especially bird watchers

A hidden Devon gem!

This accommodation is a hidden gem tucked in the Devon countryside but in easy reach of Exeter. The spacious accommodation included a room with a pool table which was absolutely perfect for family entertainment for the weekend. The host was very welcoming and contacted beforehand to help with directions and make arrangements.

Just lovely

Such a comfortable, welcoming atmosphere. The property is spotlessly clean, well furnished, warm, and has everything you need for a pleasant stay. There is plenty of space, and the pool table and extensive DVD and board game collections are a real bonus! Our host Nick was really friendly and helpful. We absolutely loved staying here and would not hesitate to book again.

Not much room for improvement! The wi-fi is really slow, so it would be good to improve this if possible, but I suspect that's due to the rural location and might not be something the owner can help. The addition of a washing machine/dryer would also be a good idea, particularly for longer stays.

Wonderful house, garden and hosts! Even better than the pictures.

We stayed here while attending a wedding nearby. The hosts were extremely friendly and facilitated our late check-in as well as having great recommendations e.g. for local taxi companies. The house was really cosy and had everything we needed for our stay.

The only thing we didn't like was that we weren't able to stay any longer, everything else was perfect.

It was a delight! I’d return there any day,

Beautiful cottage in the Devon countryside with fantastic views. The hosts couldn't have been more welcoming and the cottage was cosy and very well decorated. Very clean and tidy. The beds were comfortable, lovely linen. I loved sitting in their garden.
