We had a really fun weekend overall, but there were quite a few issues with the cottage that are worth mentioning. When we arrived, we noticed that many basic amenities were missing. There was no freezer (one was brought later), only 4 towels for 7 guests, and no shower gel, shampoo, or even basic kitchen staples like tea, coffee, salt, or pepper. There were also no paper towels or cleaning supplies provided.
The outdoor area was quite neglected—there were cigarette butts scattered around the yard, which made the environment feel unclean. The yard and surroundings could really use some care and maintenance. The cottage itself is in need of renovation, especially if the owners want to meet guests’ expectations.
Privacy was another concern. While the listing suggests a peaceful, private retreat, the reality is quite different. There are holiday pods, barns, and even a residential house nearby that weren’t shown in the photos.
On the positive side, the beds were very comfortable, and the location is close to some nice beaches, which made getting out and exploring easy and enjoyable.
In summary: Great potential, but currently lacking in comfort, cleanliness, and privacy. Not quite what we expected.

The sofa in the living room is a bit small and the front needs a tidy up there are a few loose brick on the pathway just incase someone steps on the edge
