Difficult to shut front door without slamming it but this seemed unavoidable due to effect of weather on door!

Comfortable apartment in an excellent location.

Met outside and immediately made to feel welcome. The apartment was of the highest quality - no complaints anywhere. There was even a bottle of wine in the fridge! The location was ideal. With a car, nowhere on the island is more than 40 minutes away. Parking was on the main driveway outside the apartment, which was very handy in a busy town.

The weather, but even that wasn't a problem - the apartment was in the middle of Shanklin, so everything was within a few minutes walk.

Superb

Little Gem. Shanklin Old Village. We have been hiring cottages in this country and France for a very long time and Little Gem rates up with the best, both in facilities and location. Paradoxically, it is surrounded by one of the Island 's main tourist locations Shanklin Old Village and Chine, yet is very peaceful and quiet. It is in an extension of an 1830 villa and includes a well appointed kitchen, shower room and large bed-sitting room with south facing balcony overlooking a well designed Sub Tropical garden. Because it is located on a slope a breeze has kept us pleasantly cool when hot and the thick stone walls would keep the interior warm in the coldest of English Winters. My wife and I are so grateful for the many kindnesses the owners (Mr and Mrs Green) have shown us and who keep the property spotlessly clean, well maintained and tidy. I have no hesitation in recommending this "Little Gem" and shall certainly return in years to come ourselves.

Sorry, but got to be honest.

The location, secure off road parking and the flat layout.

Noisy radiator and pipes, and I mean, really noisy, they creak and clang when heating up, and cooling down. There was a buzzing noise coming from outside, which made sleeping with the door ajar, which I have too, difficult. Shower tray is really slippery, and shower is not the simplest, with very stiff twister. Only property we have stayed in where we were told you MUST take your shoes off in the kitchen, which is totally impractical in a tiny kitchen when you suffer with arthritis. When guest's stayed in the room above it became even more noisy, they weren't noisy, but you could here everything.

A perfect treasure 😊

Absolutely perfect, had everything you needed to self cater if needed, perfectly situated in Shanklin for all amenities, spotlessly clean, lovely bed linen and a welcome pack of a bottle of wine and breakfast essentials. Hosts so helpful with places to visit, walks to take and eateries to try. Perfect!

Very hard to find fault but if we were forced to... It was rather warm in the apartment, even with all of the radiators off, we will take a fan next time we visit, and very personal choice, would have preferred a firmer mattress. 😊

Excellent location exceptionally well appointed. Beautifully designed planned and decorated with attention to detail.

Although self contained from the main building when we stayed in early June there was no independent control of room and water temperature in the accomodation which was a little uncomfortable on a chilly evening. A request for heating would need to be made to the hosts on each occasion maybe at unsocial hours which felt uneasy about doing. No extra blankets for cooler evenings when we visited. I raised the issue before review so the host would be able to respond. Exceptionally polite and full reply stating that they would consider this feedback.

Perfect little find on the Isle of Wight

A beautiful little apartment that was spotlessly clean. Everything you needed was provided even down to the little breakfast hamper to get you started. Debbie & Andrew the hosts were super, great communication from the time I booked till the time I left. I would 100% stay again if and when I need to return to the island.

Lovely, clean bijou apartment. Short walk down to the sea. Not far from shops. Friendly hosts provided lots of food for breakfasts.

The flat was a little weird shaped. Could hear the people upstairs. Overall a great place to stay.
