A fabulously appointed, warm and comfortable apartment in a superb setting in the heart of beautiful Shanklin Old Villag

Fantastic location in the centre of Shanklin Old Village, very close to pubs,restaurants, shops and bus stops, just a short walk to Shanklin Chine, the beach and the train station. Perfectly located for exploring the island by bus or on foot. Debbie and Andrew are wonderful hosts who really made me feel welcome. The apartment is beautifully appointed with everything you could possibly need and made even more special with the hot tub and pretty private garden. I was greeted with a surprise welcome pack too. I would highly recommend this property for visiting the island at any time of the year and I will definitely be returning!

Some people may find the steep stairs up to the apartment a little challenging, though they were fine for me.

Small but almost perfectly formed. Looking forward to returning.

You cannot beat this location. In the heart of the village, yet peaceful and private. Easy and spacious on site parking, a real bonus for a central location. Fabulous private terrace with a superb and very clean, well maintained hot tub. I'm sure we would appreciate this even more in the spring/summer. Very generous early check in time allowing us to get the full benefit of our time here. Also a very generous welcome pack with everything you need to get you going: wine; bread; eggs; butter; jam; ground coffee; tea; milk. Also the little extras: large extra towels for the hot tub; shower gel; salt & pepper etc etc.

It's hard to find fault. it is quirky because it is a converted historical building. Personally we liked that. If you don't like stairs book Little Treasure on the ground floor - but then you forgo the hot tub. Also if you have balance/vertigo you wont like the small hall space at the top of the stairs. Personally I think the living area could be improved. We found the sofa very uncomfortable; low, leather and hard. A large table under the window might be better replaced by a small armchair as the view from the window is lovely. Maybe a couple of side tables? Really except for the sofa, I'm being picky. Hence we've already booked to return and have recommended to friends and family.

Little Gem is amazing

Debbie and Andrew were fantastic throughout our trip. The apartment was beautiful and had everything we needed. The hot tub was fantastic to unwind after a day exploring the Island. The train station is a 15 minute walk and there was a bus stop across the road. The buses were fab, we got a day ticket and travelled all over.

The 'Little Gem' is exactly that!

The accomodation was spotless with many unexpected extras. It consists of a Large Bedroom / Lounge, with a separate Modern kitchen and a huge Baathroom. We loved the Superking Bed and perfect Hot Tub too. The hosts provided us with more than the necessaries to tide us over for breakfast - Milk, Eggs, Bread, Muesli, Butter and more plus a bottle of wine!! They were friendly, informative but not intrusive. The location is in Shanklin Chine, the prettiest part of the island with a wonderful sandy beach and excellent eateries and pubs. the little gem is really excellent value for money

the apartment was really clean,plenty of towels for showering and using the hot tub,plenty of unexpected food was left on arrival incliding a nice bottle of wine,the was plenty of really hot water for washing and heating,the apartment is equiped with everything you need and then some more.the hosts are really nice and helpful.location is spot on

Peaceful and relaxing stay - despite the storm

Debbie and Andrew were friendly and everything was perfect. The best part was being able to see the stars whilst sitting in the hot tub at night.

Was met by host despite being quite late arrivals. Was great that instructions how to get in, etc. had been provided in case host wasn't available. Breakfast and a nice bottle of prosecco was lovely and meant we weren't so worried about getting up early to go shopping! Hot tub was mmmmm! Lovely and simple to use, very indulgent and just what we'd hoped for! Location near the Chine was great as it was not in very centre of town (but still close for convenience!), so was very private and calm, with easy routes out to the rest of the island. Bathroom was deliciously large!

Whilst the kitchen was very small, it was very well kitted out! Would have been nice to have a little more space for storing food, as most cupboards had items in already, perhaps a shelf or two (and a pair of scissors would have been handy!)? Absolutely NOT the fault of the hosts, but the sheer number of road closures on the island (for fibre broadband) made every journey rather frustrating! I'm not sure when it's due to finish, but be prepared.!!

Stunning apartment with very friendly and accommodating hosts in a beautiful part of Shanklin

Very friendly hosts in a cottage apartment that exceeded our expectations. Loved all the extra touches especially useful to have milk, bread, butter, cereal, even a bottle of wine waiting for us. The hot tub was very private and definitely a real treat to finish off each day after going out for long coastal walks.

Cosy stay in Shanklin

This is a lovely, comfortable apartment in the heart of Old Shanklin. We very much appreciated the personal touches and the food and drink items that were so kindly left for us. The apartment was quiet and we were able to sleep well. It is nice to have a little garden space of your own. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful.

Debbie and her husband were absolutely lovely, warm and welcoming! The place was spotless and had more than everything you need. Lovely welcome goodies in the kitchen and main toiletries provided. Little Gem was spacious and very comfortable with a huge bed, our own private access and garden area to use as we pleased. Debbie was available if we needed her or any advice on the area, otherwise we were left to our privacy which was fantastic. We will definitely be returning! Thankyou both and we look forward to seeing you again.

Fantastic comfortable stay

It has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Huge kingsize bed, fully equipped kitchen which had breakfast items left for us, TV, and beautifully decorated throughout. It was a chilly May week but the radiators came on in the evening making the property nice and warm. Garden space is a nice added bonus. The property is also in a great location for restaurants and pubs of Shanklin and only 10 mins to the beach front. Highly recommend.

The property is in a beautiful and quiet location. Everything was spotless and the bed was ever so comfortable. The small kitchen is well equipped. There are plenty of restaurants and pubs within walking distance.

There were fresh flowers in the living room, and the heating was on when we arrived, which gave a pleasant homely feel. All essential provisions (milk, cereal, eggs, bread, butter, coffee, tea, wine) had been supplied, which meant not having to look for a shop. The apartment had everything we needed.
