Beautiful apartment in the heart of Nice

The apartment is very clean. The location is close to the center and to the beach. The neighbourhood is save, perfect for women.

The location and accessibility of the property are excellent. It’s in a perfect area for visiting the region — only a 5-minute walk to the train station and another 5 minutes to the main street. The beach is a 15-minute walk, and the route is very easy and pleasant. The apartment is very clean and spacious. Perfect for families with children.

The only downside is that there is a Lidl market right below the apartment, and deliveries start around 6:00 AM. The staff do their best to be quiet, but for light sleepers this may still be an issue.

Of 4 different places we stayed at in the south of France, this was by far the worst and second most expensive. The double bed was tiny (maybe 150cm wide, probably less, definitely tight for two full-size adults), the pillows were large and uncomfortable. All linens were colors or prints, nothing white, so cleanliness was suspect to begin with. The bathroom sink was clogged (so clogged that it was impossible to not have noticed), the refrigerator smelled bad. All surrounding units have window shutters, but this one had them apparently removed when renovated, so only lined curtains block the light, but they do let light through around the edges or where the lining is damaged. The location is very convenient, but there are homeless people on the street at night and the corridor to get to the unit is unpleasant, with a couple of doors patched with wood or cardboard. The arrangement to pick up keys is ... unusual. We had to give an exact arrival time, for someone to wait for us there, hand us keys and collect cash (!) for the deposit. If you expect a gritty city apartment, you may be ok (if you don't mind the small bed), but if you expect a stylish Cote d'Azur stay, you'll be disappointed.
