About this house rental
Centrally located on the Oregon Coast, ‘Dreamer by the Sea’ is easily accessible from many directions and close to larger popular coastal towns. It is located outside the city limits of the charming town of Waldport between two state parks on beautiful and never crowded, Wakonda Beach.
The two-story home has three bedrooms, two baths, two living areas, large kitchen and dining space, laundry room, game room and a lot of outdoor living opportunities. The only rooms without an ocean view are the bathrooms and laundry room! Everyone can enjoy looking out their bedroom window to ocean views! The views from this home are vast, from Cape Perpetua to Waldport!
On the exterior, you’ll find there is a privacy fence that provides a buffer between you and world. Also, on the property is a hot tub, private boulder stairs leading to a soft sand beach, charcoal grill, a private tucked away seating area along with additional seating options for taking in the gorgeous view! The beach is long and wide, especially so during low tide. In the summer, the beach has a great sand bar that traps water during low tide and provides a sometimes warm, shallow body of water for the little ones to play in and build sandcastles near. In the winter the waves are larger, most towns are quieter, and the temperatures are still moderate. In all seasons, the coastal wildlife is innumerable, the beach accessible and the views incredible!
Every sleeping room has window screens, pull down shades and black out curtains so that you can sleep as long as you want or take that midday nap! There are also hammocks in the converted garage/game room so that you can enjoy the ocean breezes while watching your favorite movie!
First Floor:
Here you’ll find the kitchen, dining, living room, laundry room, bathroom with shower, queen bedroom with an additional twin bed and twin trundle and game room. The game room is a converted garage that has heat, a smart TV, foosball, great views of the ocean and more!
Second Floor:
Living room, full bathroom with tub and shower, 2 queen bedrooms, one with a twin trundle and the other with a twin foldout bed, available for additional sleeping flexibility.
We reserve the right to change decorations, move furniture around or change bed configuration as long as it accommodates the same number of people comfortably. We will always try to post the most up to date pictures but if you are concerned about something specifically, please don’t hesitate to contact us!
All TVs are smart and capable of streaming programs such as Netflix, HULU, Amazon, HBO. We do not have a dish provider or TV service. We have the highest level of Wi-Fi capability available. We consider Wi-Fi extremely important and always ensure that the Wi-Fi equipment is current and operational. If there is a problem on our end, we will fix it immediately, but we cannot control the company that provides internet to us or the weather that comes down on us.
We do not allow animals, events or parties.
Our occupancy, as per Lincoln County Ordinance is 6 adults. Children under 2 years old do not count towards our occupancy.

Overall the place was everything you would need. Well stocked, comfortable, easy access to the beach. The three things that diminishes my review are as follows. The house is literally on the highway. If there wasn't a hedge/fence, you could spit on the highway while standing on the sidewalk against the house. Maybe I missed that in the description or didn't take it so literal. Sleeping was very difficult due to the road noise in the upstairs bedroom on the east side. Secondly, although there are "steps" to the beach, they really are just huge rocks that were set in such a way to be used as beach access. Very wonderful to be able to be right on the beach without dunes to hike over, but for older people and young ones, these rock steps are HUGE! Reviews and pictures are there to make people aware. The deck is a little bit in disrepair. There are a few rotton boards that if someone weighted enough, could possibly fall through. Be careful! The last thing is the fact that housekeeping doesn't clean the drains. The upstairs bath is very slow and the downstairs bathroom sink seems to have some linkage problems with the drain and is also very slow. Unfortunately, that is just gross to me and is common in all house rentals. it is slightly overpriced for these reasons, but it was clean and right on the beach. The description is accurate in my opinion. The host was available in a timely matter and we had a great week here. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your lovely house!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this ocean and beach-front property. Direct beach access and breathtaking ocean views, including unforgettable whale and sea lion sightings from the comfort of the family room, made this property truly special. The house itself is comfortable, featuring two family rooms, comfortable furniture and mattresses, and a kitchen stocked with the basics. The hot tub was a fantastic amenity. Though located on PCH for convenience, guests should be aware of highway noise, especially in the front bedroom (the two back bedrooms remain peacefully quiet and offer equally fantastic views). Bring charcoal and lighter fluid if you plan to use the grill, and a Bluetooth speaker if you want to stream music while you’re there. Waldport and Yachats are close by.

We loved our stay at The Dreamer By the Sea! It was the perfect space for our family of 5 and conveniently located to the lovely stretch of coast between Florence and Depoe Bay. The beach felt like our own private getaway and we saw whales spouting and surfacing every night our our windows. Teri was a fabulous host and was so responsive. The only very small negative was the proximity to the road. Traffic noise competed with the waves in the early morning and evening, but we got used to it quickly. Overall, a wonderful stay!

The view was great and the home was cute and cozy. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to cook. There was a great selection of tea and coffee that we enjoyed. Beds were comfortable. We enjoyed the hammocks and the parking was good. On the downside, the dining room table only fits 4 people, which made it a challenge to play games with all our family. The ants are a big issue and were all over in the cupboard we put our food in and on the counters. Which resulted in us have to throw food out. Behind the downstairs couch there is tons of dead ants. We noticed that when switching on the lamp. Although the beds are comfortable, the pillows are terrible. The upstairs bath/shower barely drains. The path to the beach was really over grown, luckily we had small trimmers with us to clean up the path so we could access the beach. The hot tub had a lot of sand in it and the temperature of the water was cooler than it should be and we were unable to adjust it. Next to the hot tub there is a large hole in the deck that one of our guests fell in and cut her leg. Very small amount of toilet paper in the home and we ran out half way through our trip. That was definitely an issue for us. Those types of essentials should be stocked enough for a guests stay. There is a lot of expectations that make it challenging to complete by checkout when trying to make breakfast, pack up and getting ready for the dayWe paid a lot of money for our stay and were disappointed.
