This guesthouse is the home where our host grew up. It was so authentic with period furniture in great condition. The host was so friendly and accommodating. We had plenty of space to spread out.
If you want a view of the water from your room, this isn’t the place. But you’ll get the feel of living in a small coastal Italian village, where you see laundry drying in the sun and the life of the village surrounds you.

Wonderful location in the center of town. Elevator inside the property is very helpful for staying on the top floors. The room I stayed in was spacious and very well appointed. It had a lovely balcony overlooking the street - a very quintessential Italian view. Incredible value for Sorrento. I stayed for 5 days and it made for the perfect home base for exploring Capri and the Amalfi Coast. I even did the Path of the Gods hike and it was very simple to do from Sorrento.
The owner Maria is an absolute gem. She is the reason I decided to extend my stay. It’s her family home and she treats each guest like one of her own, making sure you have everything you need. Unlike many properiies, Marie is onsite during the day so she can help you with bookings, logistics and recommendations. She’s so knowledgeable and knows everyone.
If you are debating whether to stay in sorrento or Amalfi area, do yourself a favor and stay in Sorrento and at Marie’s. You’ll appreciate getting away from the crowds and over tourism, and Sorrento is so much more livelier at night. Plus Maria’s place is so comfortable and centrally located, you can just walk out your door and you’re minutes away from great cafes and restaurants and a quick walk to the ferry.
Nothing. I do wish there was a kettle for coffee but honestly there’s three cafes less than 1 minute away that offer take away so it’s not a big deal.

We loved that the location of the Sorrento Inn Guesthouse was in walking distance to nearby restaurants and shopping. The balcony of our room overlooked the alley that was filled with shops and tourists. The noise could be heard in our room but we embraced it as part of the experience, which by midnight was quiet as all the stores and restaurants closed. Of all the cities we visited during our stay, and of all the apartments and hotels we stayed in, the Sorrento Inn Guesthouse was our BEST experience. Maria, our host, was so friendly and accomodating. The room was beautiful and had a lot of space. It was extremely clean as well! We would highly recommend and hope to return someday.
We have no complaints. Really enjoyed our stay!
