My family (three adults, two children) stayed at the cottage during our trip to the United Kingdom. It was a beautiful home where we felt immediately at home. The kitchen was well stocked and we had everything we needed to cook several meals. The beds were comfortable and cozy. The living room had games and books, so we were well entertained. The home was very clean and we felt right at home. We were able to easily walk into downtown Bourton on the Water to enjoy all the sites. We really enjoyed our stay and return. We highly recommend Skylark Cottage.

My best friend, adult daughter and I stayed at this great property for 3 nights. From the start, Helen was an excellent communicator. Being from another country, we were a little anxious about getting to the location in a rental car. It turned out there were no worries with that at all. Helen's directions were perfect and the on site parking was a great perk. The cottage was lovely and very well stocked. The location was walkable to many of the sites in Bourton. We used it as a central hub to explore the Cotswolds. The check in and check out process was as expected. We had the good luck to be in the area during a heat spell, making it seem more like the Midwest in America. We had a learning curve remembering that most places in England do not have air conditioning, but the fans that were provided were helpful. This was the ideal place for our little group to relax and recover after very busy days exploring. I would highly recommend this location and Helen as a host.

Positive - nice, good equipped house - centrally situated in the Cotswolds - Bourton is a nice village - good restaurants nearby (15 min. walk) Suggestion: coatrack. We knew that 10 AM was the time to leave; there is no nood to repeat it so many times.

My Wife and I were so very happy we chose Bourton on the Water as our Base and this Home provided the perfect starting point. The Master Bed is extremely comfortable. The House is clean, very well equipped with modern facilities and in a nice, family-friendly neighborhood just a short walk to the village center (even shorter to the Coop Grocer). The lovely village of Bourton on the Water has many wonderful restaurant options and tourist attractions for young and old alike. Helen was very pleasant and always available, if needed. This property and location are highly recommended.
