Very central hotel, great service, wonderful breakfast. Definitely stay again!

Location perfect, less than 5 min to town centre, good hearty breakfast

Our host, John was brilliant and very knowledgeable. The breakfast was fab and the location was perfect - we were able to park just around the corner and leave the car there for the whole of our stay. (John can sort you a temporary parking permit for £3 per day)
The property is very dated and could do with decorating throughout. The room was noisy - creaky floorboards, squeaky mattress, a bathroom door handle than screeched whenever you turned it! We also ran out of loo rolls and sanitary bags during our stay (someone had been in and straightened the bed and emptied the bins but didn't replenish the items we had used). Just minor inconveniences but things to be aware of.

The host was informative, location exceptional, on street parking £3/24hrs with host's permits.
The property was somewhat run down and needs a thorough clean (behind doors, skirting boards and on touch points etc) and a lick of paint
It was our understanding that the hosts wife is ill, it may be a good idea to hire a housekeeper to lighten his work.
