Beautiful building in a fantastic location

We were made most welcome on arrival by Jennifer. She manages it along with her husband Rob who is the chef. She was very friendly as were all other staff that we met during our visit. Lovely cooked breakfast. Very comfortable friendly bar and restaurant.
Our room was absolutely huge with a freestanding bath within the room itself. It also had a separate en-suite containing a shower cubicle plus toilet. It was also very characterful.
The location was brilliant. You couldn’t be better located. There are two car parks close by. One is an NCP car park on Rother Street (this is open 24/7). We used this one because we weren’t leaving until Monday morning. The other car park is off Church Street itself and is available for parking Saturday and Sunday as we understand it. There is also on street parking directly outside which could be useful for very short term parking (dropping off cases etc). You need to use the RingGo App for this.
We visited the RSC and that was only five minutes level walk away. Plenty of shops and eateries close at hand.
All in all a very pleasant stay. We wouldn’t hesitate to revisit in the future.
We couldn’t find fault with anything.

Lovely staff at breakfast, great breakfast choices, spacious room and bathroom, excellent location.
The carpets in the rooms and hallways are disgusting. I was hesitant to put my bare feet on them in the room. They are in need of serious replacement. Also, the lunch options were minimal and we left. A group sitting nearby told us "this place used to be better. It used to be packed here at lunch."
