A lovely spacious property with lots of character and features. It was just what we needed for our family and friends weekend away and as our kids are adults now the fact we all had our bathroom was a real bonus.
There was nothing to dislike, it was a great property.

Lovely large house in the centre of Rothbury, which was ideal for our family get-together comprising teenagers, parents and grandparents. Everyone had their space. The bedrooms and bathrooms in particular were very comfortable and well appointed. The kitchen had everything we needed (apart from salt 🤷‍♀️). A lovely characterful house which Id definitely recommend.

Wow, what a venue!
We came here with friends and their kids for Christmas, moving from a traditional hotel stay to everyone staying in one place, and it was exactly what we had hoped for! It’s quirky, spacious, warm, and cozy. The person looking after the house (who isn’t local) was fantastic at resolving our access issue and even helped with something we accidentally left behind—so huge thanks to her for that!
The house seemed to have everything we needed. There was plenty of space (though parking was a little tight, we managed fine). There’s a small outdoor area, which wasn’t a problem in winter since we spent our time visiting Alnwick Gardens, with Cragside practically on the doorstep!
The location is absolutely amazing—walking distance to every shop! The host was in touch, very personable, and couldn’t do enough to help, even though they live far away.
All in all, it was a great price and an incredible experience!
The beds in one of the rooms weren’t the comfiest—but that’s personal preference, and no one else complained. The heating was a little temperamental; sometimes it got too hot, but that could have been us just getting used to the thermostat!
