Hotel was warm and friendly rooms were clean and had all we needed with a nice view from window, food was excellent and large portions, staff were all very polite and friendly, would not hesitate to book here again 👍

Not bad place to stay for touring Northumberland sites.
Staff very good and friendly
Only the room cleanliness and Shower facilities letting it down need upgrading along with the stained corridor carpets.
Needs investment as if it was not for the staff this place would get poor reviews

Property is clean with all the expected facilities and a nice cooked breakfast. Its location is on the A1 as part of a service station . A car is essential to get around to nearby locations.

Purdy Lodge has all the basics if no frills. Despite the A1 to the front , the back looks onto tranquil fields. Dogs are welcome. Not good for those of us with allergies causing asthma and so on.
