Fantastic! The hotel is so beautiful and unique. Staff are very friendly and helpful. I came to La Spezia with no plans and the lovely staff helped me create the most amazing itinerary and also helped me book a taxi :)
Nothing comes to mind

Central location, bed ok, clean, staff polite (but overfriendly).
Quite a lot. To my mind this is not a boutique hotel. It is a simple hotel, clean and conveniently located. The fittings and furniture are cheap, which is perfectly fine, but there should be no "boutique" mark-up. I was given the last room available, which is on the ground floor right next to reception. So from early in the morning people coming in and out, the receptionist's phone pinging and people having breakfast, as the breakfast room was right next-door as well. No privacy at all unless the blinds were kept closed. The room was dingy and I was susprised to learn that it was the biggest of the nine rooms in this establishment, as it wasn't huge. There were two safes, but both seemed to be broken. The room was covered in "artistic" graffiti that failed to compensate for the peeling paintwork. I rarely give a negative review and I don't mind staying in places that are a bit down at heel, as they have their own charm, but this hotel is neither boutique nor good value for money.

My friend and I spent 4 nights at this beautiful, hidden boutique hotel in the center of La Spezia – and we would come back anytime!
It’s just off the main street full of shops and restaurants, but we couldn’t hear any noise from our room. The train station is an easy 8-minute walk, which was perfect for us since we used La Spezia as our base to explore Cinque Terre.
The hospitality of the staff was incredible and welcoming. It’s a small hotel with a small team, but they were attentive from start to finish. Our AC broke on the first day, and they had it fixed by the afternoon.
Just be aware to keep your keys with you at all times — we managed to lock ourselves out of our room in the middle of the night. However, after a quick call to Guglielmo (shout-out to him!), he quickly came over to let us back in without any hassle, and still with a smile on his face. :)
Breakfast was also delicious — the pastries are huge, and the rooms have a unique, quirky design. We didn’t expect daily cleaning service, so that was a pleasant surprise.
No complaints!

The courtyard was beautifully landscaped and cleaned, the female receptionist and male chef were very welcoming and professional.
Overall it was fine, but why the bad review?Because we left our luggage with the front desk for safekeeping when we left, the staff at the front desk said we could just pick it up at 4pm.But when we got back to the hotel in the afternoon to get our luggage guess what happened? Our luggage-two backpacks-was thrown under the sink in the entrance public toilet.Yes, that's right, there's no mistaking it, it's that public bathroom where anyone can go to the loo.As we returned it was no longer the staff member who had greeted us before, a red faced male who looked like he was drunk at the front desk. When we asked where we had left our bags, we didn't realise that he was pointing to the public toilets. We double-checked and found the book bag on the toilet floor and the guy actually asked us, "How was the hotel experience, was it all ok?".What a shocker, you could have left it on reception/storage or in an empty space instead of the toilet. Our bag has been dried and sterilised, so hopefully the watermark on it is just tap water.I'm not one for bad reviews, but what you guys did really blew my mind!

Pros:
- Friendly and helpful staff. Immediately I was welcomed by the staff and greeted with local lemon water. Anna was amazing and she recommended on how I could spend my time here. She even carried my heavy luggage up the stairs.
- They have a breakfast downstairs you can join. Unfortunately I didn’t get the chance to, but would recommend as they have a chef on staff.
- The room was new, clean and was designed with attention to detail. There was this cute little steps that led to the bathroom. Felt like my own space.
- Room inclusion: kettle and coffee/tea, charging, mini bar, clothes rack, table, good air conditioning, that doesn’t make it get too cold, TV, and the bed was very comfortable with good back support.
- Bathroom was excellent. It was the first time during my Europe trip that I had a good shower, bathroom amenities were included, like soaps and shower gel. The soap - sounds weird to comment on it but it was excellent. Good quality towels included.
- Location is great. 10 min walk to the station and it’s situated in a quiet area without compromising on location.
- Good security. Locks on doors and to the main entrance.
I would stay here again.

Room was clean, quiet. Location is excellent - central but on a quiet side street. Staff were welcoming
I booked the "Superior Queen Room - expecting a queen sized bed. What I got was two single beds pushed together - which was well below expectations and very disappointing. No change or refund of any sort was made.

Exceptional, the place, the location, the vibes, the staff, the breakfast. I will certainly book again for my next time in La Spezia

It is very well situated, right in the centre of this wonderful City but so tranquil and with outdoor space - a sweet terrace for breakfast.
The staff - in particular Anna, who was amazing - she booked a fabulous restaurant for us, sorted out parking, and was a brilliant source of information and gave us the warmest welcome.
Great to stay somewhere vibrant and individual and to be received so warmly.

Such a warm welcome by Anna, who provided a lot of tipps, what to see and where to have a snack and/or drink. She also told us the history of the house the hotel is in.
We also enjoyed Pietro's delicious breakfast: the scrambled eggs were one of the best I've ever had.

It’s in a central location between the railway station and the port to get one of the many boats. Although it’s central it’s quiet and tranquil. Decoration is quirky but it’s very clean the beds are comfortable and the sheets are of good quality. The bathrooms are new and are well kitted out. Rooms have A/C. All the staff (its family run) are absolutely fantastic. Anna seemed to be at reception for most of the time and she is amazing! So helpful!
There was NOTHING that we did not like?..

Awesome Location . Right next door to cute town . We would sit outside the patio to relax and play cards.
Wall safe not connected. Would like to have my own table and chairs outside my patio door as there was room for it .

You can tell effort is being put into the property to make it special. It is off a main busy walking street but so quiet-an oasis. The staff- especially Anna and Pietro are charming and warmly take care of you! Great espresso and coronettos too! Bed and bath linens were excellent!
The room was small as was the toilet(per my husband). I didn’t care for the decor but not in room that much.

This hotel is well located within La Spezia, surrounded by shops and restaurants. The staff are friendly and helpful. Good internet, clean room and comfy bed. Bathroom and shower are great.
It’s hard to define boutique but for me it’s about more than writing words on white walls. Room lacked the warmer, soft furnishings.
They have just started serving a la carte breakfast. I didn’t partake as the selection available was extremely limited.
Small room.

Central location. Excellent AC. Good WiFi.
It’s described as a hotel - but it doesn’t serve breakfast and it doesn’t have 24 hour reception. While the room was clean, the decor is very tired, especially the bathroom. Previous reviews, in my opinion, overstate the place.

A lovely hotel, right in the center, but set back enough from the main street, so there is no noise. Modern, clean, cheerful, TV, safe, fridge, everything needed was there. Spezia is a place that should definitely be visited. The manager of the hotel, Anna, is extremely friendly, very helpful for any question or problem. (La) Spezia is already worth enough to be visited, but you also have easy ways to see Cinque Terre, Portovenere, Pisa, Luca... Genova is also very near (one hour by train).

The budget boutique hotel is quaint, quirky and clean. Great location in the centre of La Spezia with all amenities nearby. Short walk to the train station or to the posrt for the boat to Cinque Terre. Our room was compact with comfortable beds. Guglielmo and Anna were lovely hosts.

Amazing location just behind the shopping street.
Peaceful lovely square.
Amazing property.
Crazy good brekkie - they had every milk you could imagine, great coffee, cereals, toasts, ham & cheese, cakes and all local.
Wasn’t too keen on the art in our room, but liked it in the halls and stairs. Makes it original though.

The room: everything you need for a short stay. The bed was amazing. The location was perfect.
The breakfast was very good but quite limited with emphasis on local ingredients. The hostess was very proud and attentive in presenting the breakfast which made the limited selection more appealing. The coffee was exceptional. If you want a wide selection or if you want something warm like eggs, bacon etc., you will be disappointed. The hotel is small and cosy and therefore no room for a large breakfast. It didn't bother me at all.
I really don't have a lot to say but I'll say this: the hotel has no parking but that is expected due to its location. My room had a bathroom that was quite cramped with a very small shower. The hotel has old school keys and no reception after 18, but the hostess, Anna, messaged me the day before and would probably make arrangements if you had to arrive later.

Booked on the same day as another property on this site has let us down, they were able to accomodate us immediately.
Front desk staff very helpful in giving local recommendations on where to see, what to eat etc.
Great barista-made cappuccinos at breakfast and some lovely pastries
Nice clean room with quirky decor, great AC to beat the heat wave!
Fruit at breakfast could have been fresher

The location is in the heart and the staff are wonderful. I arrived early which was not a problem. I left my bag in the room and Anna the receptionist spend time to talk to me about the local area and go through times of boat, buses and even informed me of a local festival ongoing. I can not recommend this place enough and when I’m back in Italy I will be making a point of returning.

Most welcoming staff with great tips for exploring the area.
Don’t miss the tunnels used for shelter in WWII. The staff there made our visit so worthwhile.

Nice breakfast with locally sourced foods.
Good location in the center close to the train station and the port. Even though the shopping street is nearby it was surprisingly a very quite place.
The bed was a little narrow we always felt we're going to fall off.

Lovely little hotel. I was in a single room which was small but perfect. I peaked at the doubles and they all looked great. Location is fab, short walk from the station and surrounded by bars and restaurants but the best thing is the staff and owners. Super friendly and helpful, I left feeling they were my friends
