I fell happy to have stayed here

Location, right in Centro Gubbio Staff friendly and responsive Room large and opened onto a terrace Breakfast was complete and American friendly

Good location for a fair price

Good central hotel with professional and helpful staff. Additional fee of €10 to use the parking garage for one motorcycle (quite expensive), but this was against a reasonable room price and decent breakfast at €8 per person. Bed was comfortable if you don’t mind a firm mattress and the room was blessedly cool with quiet air con.

Some street noise even with the windows and shutters closed, so bring ear plugs. But we’d stay again.

Great hotel with friendly staff in fantastic location.

Very helpful staff, spacious and clean room and bathroom, excellent location and good breakfast. The quadruple room worked very well for us (3 sharing).

Single mattresses a little soft but certainly didn’t detract from our overall good experience.

A wonderful stay at Hotel San Marco

Staff very friendly and helpful with my questions about Gubbio. Pretty good English. The hotel is a 2 minute walk from the bus stop ciming from the train station in Fossato di Vico. It was a cool and pleasant place on hot August days. The breakfast was very good for an extra 8 Eu. Beds werw firm and comfortable.

I liked everything. No complaints at all Everything was great. As in many Italian hotels, the shower door had to be carefully arranged to keep water off the floor. This is very typical with the type of folding shower doors. Very minor issue- use your brain and a bit of cleverness and the user can keep the water in.

My second visit to Gubbio in over 30 years, and it did not disappoint!

The hotel is ideally situated near the bottom of the hill forming at the entrance to the medieval town, and is located near to a municipal car park, making it very convenient, given that it is difficult/impossible to park in the town centre. Our room faced on to an extensive common balacony area and was quite spacious and clean. Staff were inviting, friendly and informative. Gubbio is an unforgettable experience of a historic medieval hilltop town, brimming with architectural, historical and culinary wonders.

Pleasant

The location Is great. Public on street parking Is good. Easy to find a space. Close to the old part of the town ... a few steps and you are there. Friendly staff. Nice rooms. Comfortable beds. Clean.

The bathrooms are.. Diferent... The toilet paper holder Is on the other part of the bathrooms so you cant reach it when you are on the toilet. The renovation slightly gone bad. The hotel needs to improve that. But very clean and all you need Is there.

Smallest Room

Good location. Breakfast exceeded expectations.

Allocated ridiculously small room. When we mentioned this we were told we had been upgraded to the family unit. However we only had access to the one small room - the other bunk room was only unlocked when we asked where the fridge was. We did not need the second room as there was only the two of us. I wish we had simply been given a standard room as booked....they were all bigger than ours.

Friendly staff and great postion

Position was great, just outside the city centre. Free parking really close to the hotel also simplified the short stay. Staff was really helpful and gave us a lot of tips.

Really strong smell coming from the toilet, was quite unpleasant. I would expect a better care regarding this from a city centre hotel. Bit overpriced in my opinion for the dimension of the room.

The staff was very helpful. They helped with directions and with restaurants. The breakfast was excellent. They had a very nice variety and plenty of everything. The room was very comfortable and the bathroom seemed new.

Perfect stay at a historic property!

Loved the location that makes it so easy to get to from the bus stop (coming from the train station), and also it is in the historic centre of Gubbio. I had breakfast only once, but noted the huge variety provided - there was something to satisfy every taste. The room was very comfortable & spacious. I wasn't expecting so much outdoor area (garden) at the back of the hotel - that was a bonus. Excellent staff - very efficient, friendly & helpful. I will definitely be staying at the Hotel San Marco when I return to Gubbio!

My family has been staying here for decades and I plan on doing the same !

Breakfast was convenient and they had quite an assortment ! Loved the balcony we had and the full size tub, I definitely took advantage of it.

Updated mattresses would be great- the bed was super stiff and was hard to fall asleep on.
