The room was comfortable, requested a twin room and was given it. Breakfast had a good selection, and good coffee!
Hotel has new owners. Felt a little new but all the staff were very friendly and helpful.

I stayed at The Bourne Valley Inn to attend a family funeral in St Mary Bourne. I was met on my first night by the manager, Julia & the housekeeper Donna. What a delight they were. Nothing was too much trouble for them, and it was deeply appreciated, considering why I was in the UK, and how long my journey was from Australia. They were kind, and empathetic during my long stay. The food at breakfast was always lovely, & I never left feeling that I needed more.
My only concern was that my bathroom didn't have a working extraction fan, nor a window, so after my shower, I had to try not to slip on the floor, wet by condensation. A request for maintenace of this, had been sent through to the owners.

A beautifull place, however, it needs some work. There is a lot of potential with a nice old building like that. It was a nice place to stay the night. The bed was good and the staff was very friendly and helpfull.
Also the food was quite good
The room was quite moist. There was no ventilation in the room and there was a particular smell in the room. Also there was no space to place your bags. Next to that we could also hear lot of what the upstairs guests were doing.
