Great place to base yourself in Nusa Penida

Operated by a super helpful and friendly family. Location right next to the port and all of the restaurants. Loved starting my day with coffee and breakfast delivered to my balcony. Scooters and all of the activities can be arranged right there in the hotel making it very convenient.

Comfortable bed, great wifi, excellent location, 10 minute walk from the Pier. Right downtown, close to restaurants and shops.

Not enought hot water in the shower, but when it is 33 degrees and hot out, luke warm showers are ok.

One of the Best Stays in Lusa Penida

The location was the highlight. It is at a walkable distance from Lusa Penida Port and in the middle of the city. This made it accessible to everything. The hospitality given by Mr. Putu and his staff were exceptional. Mr. Putu and his team are very soft spoken, respectful and prompt whenever asked for anything. He made sure my stay was comfortable and relaxing. He also arranged a scooter and snorkeling at a very reasonable price. I would 100% recommend this property.

The room has Air Conditioner which is great but it would have been better if there was a fan too.

Lovely guesthouse with friendly staff, in a good location

This guesthouse is really close to the harbour and there are plenty of little cafes and restaurants and a convenience store within a few minutes walk, which is really handy. If you want to go to go further a field I’d recommend hiring a scooter. They offer excursions like snorkelling trips and hiring a driver to take to you different parts of the island - I did the 3 spots snorkelling and saw manta rays and also hired a driver to take me to the east side. These were so easy to book with reception. My room was a good size, nice and clean, with a big bathroom. The highlight of this guesthouse is definitely the staff though, who are all so welcoming, friendly and helpful. They really made my trip. Thank you!

Perfect !

The room was very clean, the bed comfortable, it was a very good stay. The location of the hotel is next to the port, I left on foot without any problems. The staff was so lovely, helpful, they advised us on our itineraries, offered us tours by motorbike taxi and car. The breakfast was very good. It was really perfect!

Peaceful Homestay with really friendly staff!

We enjoyed our stay so much we extended another night! Really great quiet guesthouse just off the main road with lots of cafes and restaurants. What we liked most were the staff: all so friendly & always happy to help. We booked a snorkelling trip through guesthouse for a reasonable price & also rented a scooter which was in really good condition. The room was comfy, clean, had great AC, hot water shower, smart TV & was really spacious. Housekeeping offered by staff during our stay. We had breakfast at guesthouse which was great. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a good value for money, peaceful stay in nusa penida!

It wasn’t the worst, but I don’t recommend it at all.

Nice personel, ready to help, nice location near few good restaurants.

Problem with cleanliness. Dirty and smelly towels and bed linen. The bathroom was in a very bad condition, old and in need of renovation. We spent two nights at the resort. On the first night, there was a huge noise from the ceiling and a huge spider on the wall.

Super friendly and helpful staff! Great breakfast options and very reasonably priced. Great location for food and snorkelling/diving tours. Overall great experience and well worth the money.

Only thing was that the towels were clearly quite old with a few stains and holes but they were clean just had signs of wear.

A handy location, close to ATM, warrungs and the beach.

The staff were all helpful and friendly. The unit was clean and the bed comfortable. The outside area in front of the units was also comfortable, a lovely place to sit in the evening after return from dinner. The proximity to the swimming beach was also fabulous and only a few minutes walk.

The hotel is close to the port, almost in the center, is very convenient when you arrive with all your luggage. The staff is very friendly and helpful; they help you with anything you need. The rooms are very comfortable and have a TV with YouTube, which is convenient.

There is no pool, but that's not important if you come to enjoy the beaches.

Very pleasant stay at Double-G - would return!

Great location relative to the main town and restaurants/piers, as well as an ATM. Very friendly staff and good value tours offered. Room was clean and functional, and offered free filtered water.

Slightly hard to find as down a little alleyway next to an ATM but keep an eye out for the sign at the end.

Incredible stay for the price! We loved our time here.

The room is spacious and clean, the tv has Netflix & prime video which was awesome! The staff are friendly & we were able to book all our tours & rent a motorbike through them. The price is incredible for what you get!

No option to have breakfast included but prices are so cheap to eat breakfast there not too much of a problem. Bathroom could be a bit better as shower curtain was only 3/4 length and so whole bathroom gets wet and toilet when you shower.

Nusa Penida was a huge disappointment, especially compared to Bali. The guest house was nothing like the pictures-towels and bedsheets were stained, everything was dirty, and there was extensive mold throughout the room. The mold caused a terrible smell that gave us headaches within just 30 minutes of being there. Although the woman running the guest house was initially polite, she quickly became uncooperative and told us to deal with Booking.com. When we decided to leave, she threatened to mark us as a “no-show” despite having already paid, which would have cost us a 300€ fee-more than the price of our entire four-night stay. The area itself felt run-down and unsafe. I have many more photos to document these issues but couldn’t upload them due to Booking.com’s limits.

Close proximity to the port and shops/cafes. Staff helpful and we were able to rent mopeds from them directly. They also arranged the Manta trip for us.

Bad experience

Place is not like in photos, is dirty, a lot of mosquitos in the room, it has a hole in the bathroom like a small window. Wo choose to go to another acommodation is Nusa Penida after we sow the room. We did not sleep overnight.

Lovely stay at Double G

We loved staying at Double G guest house. The staff were especially friendly and accommodating. We cannot comment about breakfast (we didnt eat there). It is a very peaceful place hidden in the city center, near lots of shops and close to the harbour. The only downside is that there is a mosque nearby that wakes you up at 4am every morning, which wasn't the greatest.

Nice stay!

Very kind staff, they were very nice during my whole stay. Everything you need they have good attitude. The laundry was very good quality service. The room was big, good air conditioning, big bathroom, comfortable bed. Close to port. Again, staff was amazing, truly grateful. Noise from mosque didn't bother me. If you have troubles they offer earplugs

My biggest frustration was the tour with motorbike, no helmets, poor condition motorbike and very bad restaurant choice, i was frustrated by the last one, felt like a trap. They took notes so they can offer a better service. The water is a bit salty but i understand given the limitations in the island, probably same everywhere. Keep in mind that even it's a walkable distance to the hotel, there's a huge puddle just next to the port so only option is to take a taxi if you bring heavy luggage.

Good location right next to the harbour. Ideal if you are carrying heavy luggage. Run by a local family, they give you all the attention and help with whatever you need such as boat trips and bike rental.

Bit noisy with the nearby mosques early morning call of prayers but that is a problem in most places in the island.

A great budget accommodation with wonderful hosts

I loved every single thing about my stay in Double G Guest House. Firstly, the owners are out of this world. They were some of the nicest people that I met on my 6 weeks away. Everyday they would ask how I had gotten on exploring the island and recommended suggestions. They also helped me organise a snorkelling trip, as well as doing my laundry and renting a bike from them. Oh and organising my ferry tickets too. The location is perfect for arriving off the ferry. I had come from Nusa Lembongan and I only had to walk 100 feet to get to the guest house.

It was a good place with potential

I liked how nice and accommodating staff were and how close it was to everything. It was good that we could organise our activities through the reception

Facilities are very basic. Bathroom and shower facilities were run down and the beds sound like they we’re breaking whenever you got in bed. Our bathroom door didn’t close properly either. At the same time though, its basic accomodation to align it with the low price.

Wonderful stay with great people running the hotel

For me the number one reason to stay here are the people running the hotel. You have everything you need, you can borrow a scooter, book the next ferry and when you have other wishes they will take care. We booked another snorkling trip and they were even checking out if the tour is a good or average. If you just need a room and no fancy pool and so on, it is definitly your best choice!

Basic but good value and good location

Location close to harbour and dive shop was very good. Quiet and away from the street. Actually liked the mosque call to prayer in the morning and didn’t find it intrusive. Staff all lovely. Basic facilities but good value. Bed very comfortable, nice bed linen.

The a/c was ok but probably needed servicing as it didn’t get fully cool. I think the water was desalinated, tasted vaguely salty in the shower
