What a gorgeous little place this is, right in the historic part of town. Rustic traditional rooms, with an enchanting garden full of grapevines, beans, passion flowers and figs. I highly recommend staying to take breakfast here in the morning. The pigeon tower itself, at the end of the garden, is actually part of the old city walls, which makes for a very atmospheric exit from the accommodation when walking into town. Sylvie was the perfect host: welcoming, attentive and accommodating. We were sad that we could only stay one night!

The host Sylvia was very welcoming and went out of her way to make sure I had everything I needed. Breakfast in the garden was super - fresh fruits and croissants plus bread and homemade jams. The garden is mature and full of interesting plants!
The room was rather dominated by an extremely large bed, which is also very low. It filled up half the space in the room and made access to the bathroom a little difficult - I stubbed my toe more than once!

An enchanting place to stay in the medieval centre of Loches. Silvia is a wonderfully warm and generous host and has created a beautiful garden full of fruit trees, vines and flowers. The apartment and kitchen were perfect, with everything needed for a comfortable stay. The garden is a delight, but the real star is the descent to the Renaissance Quarter of Loches via the 37 spiral steps of the Pigeonnier, both fun and magical. Silvia has a menagerie of animals, including Emy the little rescue dog, Glenda the (elusive) cat and Lucio the hedgehog - the latter rescued by Silvia last autumn. Lucio has now made a home for himself in Silvia’s garden and has never strayed (and why would he?) We wished we could have stayed longer too, as this is a beautiful, special place to stay in Loches and Silvia is so welcoming, friendly and has a wealth of local information too.

This was a fantastic and quirky place to stay, so closed to the royal city.
Silvia is a perfect host, very knowledgable and able to offer information. We look forward to returning.

A lovely hideaway, close to town, with a kind host, beautiful gardens and a comfy big bed. The optional breakfast was delicious. Especially loved the exit from the garden through a dovecote down a spiral staircase. Fabulous little town. Lovely stop off for the Dordogne or the South of France from England. We visited Montresor when we left which was superb too. Thank you!
Loved it all!

On rêve d'y rester.
