The location is excellent, especially if you’re planning to walk the coastal path, as it’s very conveniently placed for exploring the area. Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t good enough during our stay for us to make the most of this. The beds were also comfortable, which made for a decent night’s sleep.
On the downside, the property wasn’t particularly clean and overall didn’t feel especially well cared for. The bathroom blind was broken and was already shut when we arrived, which quickly made sense once we realised it wouldn’t work properly. I contacted the host via Booking.com to mention this, mainly so it was clear we hadn’t caused the damage, and then again to make them aware that the toaster also did not function properly. After looking inside, it appeared the internal parts were out of place, making it feel like a potential fire hazard. Even with a single slice of bread, it would burn rather than toast and then get stuck, but unfortunately we received no response.
For the price, it didn’t feel like good value for money. The accommodation was very expensive for what was offered, and it lacked the thoughtful touches that make a place feel welcoming and cared for. I say this from experience, as my family and I have owned holiday homes for many years, so we have a good understanding of what guests typically expect and what makes a stay feel worthwhile. Overall, it felt like not much thought had gone into creating a homely or well-presented space.

What a fantastic place, the surroundings were devine….. the hungry goat, the llamas, the sheep and the chickens just ruled the roost, the walks and the private beach….. just stunning. The weather was not completely unkind, but also it was the last week of October 🤷♀️ …. Was a delightful place to stay leading up to and after my Son and new daughter in laws wedding at water mouth cove. Beautiful place.
In honesty its just being really picky, but hooks to hang bits up, especially the bathroom, when your in the shower there is no where to put anything unless its the floor of the shower, there is a lovely cupboard under the sink, but thats not much use when your in the shower. No where to hang a bathrobe. Like I said thats just me being picky.

A cream tea on arrival, a lovely treat. A very comfy bed. Everything we needed. A homely feel, warm and clean.
Beautiful views to leave a lasting impression.
