Lovely week even though mixed weather

Comfortable cabin in a beautiful location

Kitchen could be a little better equipped eg no veg pealer or seive.

Scenic stay good for an adventure around the south lakes

Set in beautiful grounds close to many south lakes activities

Single bed was rather uncomfortable and sofa was difficult to sit on for any length of time, during bad weather power did cut for a short time

No information provided regarding area, local shops ,or restaurants, Nobody to ask we didn't meet the owners no where to be seen,we arrived &left without any contact with no one only the sheep.

Comfortable accommodation in a lovely setting

Lovely setting with everything we wanted for a short break. Comfortable and unfussy inside, with appliances that were easy to use. Verandah and outside seating, with the bonus of sheep on the adjacent hillside. Great location for getting to the southern Lakes and Ulverston/Barrow peninsula. We would be very happy to stay here again.

Bedroom curtains/blinds could do with being rather more light-proof. No problem at all during the hours of darkness as it is totally dark, but not effective once the sun rose.

secluded cosy getaway.

far enough away from everything for it to be nice and quiet but close enough to drive to places if anything was needed. we weren’t bothered once by anyone which was exactly what we were looking for, with lovely scenic walks literally on the door step.

Very quiet, nobody bothered us, everything you could need including parking, WiFi and the cabin was very warm for such a cold night.

Quiet and peaceful location with beautiful views.

The location was excellent and the views were picturesque . The pictures we reviewed prior to arrival did not do the lodge and location the full justice they deserved.

The only minor discomfort was the heating to the lodge was electric storage heaters which restricted your control of the heating.
