Beautiful cottage for a short stay.

Ady shared everything we needed to know before arrival. The cottage itself was beautiful - the facilities on the whole were great. The location was great - the village itself was pleasant to walk around with the dog. It was also in very close proximity to lots of places to visit.

As beautiful as the bathroom is the layout of the bathroom made it a bit tricky to use the toilet comfortably - it’s extremely close to the wall and the raised base of the shower.

A perfect cosy home from home!

Perfect location to explore, and very quiet. Everything had been thought of and it was a comfortable home from home. It was very well equipped and there was nothing we needed that we couldn’t find. I was concerned after reading some reviews that the radiators, tap, towel rail or shower might be difficult to use, but they were all super simple and efficient. The host was helpful when contacted too. The bed was very comfortable.

Trying to create an enclosed section of garden would be good, but we knew this wasn’t the case before we went so not an issue at all!

Lovely quiet stay at Levens Rest

Levens Rest is a lovely, compact place, on a quiet street with lovely views on the morning dog walk. There's a great dog walk nearby along the river. The space was very well equipped and comfortable. The photos didn't really do it justice - it's really thoughtfully planned out and decorated.

A note on where the consumer unit was to switch on electricity upstairs would have been helpful, but we figured it out and Ady was quick to offer help. Also, arriving after dark made it tricky to be sure we'd found the right cottage. In the morning light we felt silly because it's obvious, but maybe a light at the end of the path would be useful.

Great place to stay with good facilities.

Nice apartment, well equipped in good location for visiting the Lakes. Accepts pets. Owner, Adi, very responsive.

Had issues getting the towel rail to work and could of done with instructions. Owner Adi did provide some information when requested, but we only got it working the once. The King bed had a very narrow access down the one side.

A wonderful cottage in a beautiful location

We had the most fantastic stay at this beautiful cottage! From the very beginning, communication was seamless and friendly, making the whole arrival process a breeze. Check-in was effortless, and we were immediately impressed by how spotlessly clean and well-maintained everything was. The cottage has clearly been recently renovated with great care-the décor is stylish, cozy, and full of charm. It felt incredibly comfortable and had absolutely everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The location was perfect: peaceful yet well-connected, with a lovely walk right from the doorstep that we thoroughly enjoyed. It was also an ideal base for exploring the Lakes-we could easily reach all the places we wanted to visit. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommended.

Lovely nest for a trip in the lakes.

Beautiful little home at the base of the lakes. Great location. House is clean and equipped with everything you might need for your stay. Communication with Ady was smooth and fast. We slept really well here as well. The tv works, WiFi works, beds are comfy. House is dog friendly. Parking right outside the house. Bathroom is clean with hot water and good pressure. Kitchen is well equipped and modern (we appreciated the high counters as tall people).

Nothing to complain about our stay. As for the area - book restaurants/pubs in advance especially in the summer months. Lots of great eateries to choose from. If you drive an electric car, there a slow charger about 8min walk (the only one in the area).

A great homely base for exploring the Lakes within easy access to shops, restaurants and pubs.

The accommodation was easy to reach being just off the main road running across the Southern Lakes. It was only a short drive to shops, pubs and restaurants and we drove to the main lakes and tourists attractions in around half an hour or less so it is a great base for spending holiday time in the Lakes. The accommodation was homely and comfortable and our family enjoyed our stay.

It took us a while to find the power switch for the shower which was on the landing behind the bathroom door. We couldn't work out how to use the boiling water tap so boiled water in a pan but we are maybe just not up to date with modern technology.

Really clean cottage, good standard of furnishings, and everything needed in kitchen, added bonus of parking space.

Coziest little gem in the Lake District away from the crowds.

Beautiful property, recently renovated and run by the best host I have ever came across in the UK. The bedrooms are spacious with nice and comfortable beds, the bathroom has a modern and large shower with a Bluetooth mirror which my partner loved as he could play his music whilst being in there! The property is perfectly located, a hidden gem in the Lake District, in a quiet place which is perfect if you want to escape the city crowds. The kitchen is very well equipped and had everything for us to cook our Christmas dinner in there without any inconvenience. The host made sure the property was nice and warm before our arrival and went above and beyond to make sure we had an amazing time in there. I highly recommend this place if you are looking to wind down, re-charge and have a peaceful time.
