Location was good but had to drive most places
Being questioned about the hut we had booked and felt quite uncomfortable about being asked to pay 50.00 more to get the one we had already booked. Eventually we were given the hut we had booked but had to wait quite a while before it was ready wasting must of the first night.

It was cosy, comfortable and warm.
The lady that met me to let me in was very friendly and helpful.
Ideally located for local tourism and great value for money.
The shower was a bit cramped - but I am a big guy.

Location, was loverly and walks to do locally in walking distance, the hut accommodation was good and very clean. Facilities in the huts area are nice and welcoming also. Would go back again.
Maybe next time opt for a bigger hut, we found it small the Ash hut but workable , for the two night stay.

Loved how close it was to everything but far enough away from the crowds. We had the place to ourselves the first night and enjoyed an evening cooking on the indoor BBQ. Loved the woods just across the road, full of bluebells. We could access both Coniston and Windermere easily and had a swim at Low Dam in Finsthwaithe (the smaller part lower down from High Dam). Great hosts too ❤️
