⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely perfect stay! Highly recommended! We had an amazing stay at this beautiful log cabin in Ulverston. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The cabin is spotless, cosy, and very well equipped! It truly felt like a home away from home. Tim is such a lovely host, very friendly and ready to help at any time! The location is great too, quiet and surrounded by nature, close enough to explore Ulverston and the Lake District easily. Thank you for such a wonderful stay. We created beautiful family memories here and would definitely love to return. Highly recommended!

Xmas getaway

My first initial thought when i seen the log home was wow!! Better than even the photos! the size was amazing, a very calm atmosphere, me and my family enjoyed our christmas get away. So much my children didnt want to leave, and we also didnt want to go out exploring. We wanted to stay in haha Thank you :)

It was okay but not worth the price. Lovely place in the summertime I should think

Good location for interesting places to visit. Spacious property, reasonably well equipped

Bedroom heater did not work. No appliance instructions for TV, cooker, microwave etc. No welcome pack, no milk or tea. Small amount of wood for wood burner left but would have to buy more if required. Most places keep a supply going for you. Wifi but NO internet so hopeless if you needed to do any work. Bedroom door was stuck to the floor so could not close it. Furnishings a bit tired.

Cosy cabin for a heaving town!

Property kept warm even in the cold winter weather. Bed was very comfy and just had everything you need for a 2 night stay!

My only annoyance was the water in the shower kept going cold then warm. In the grand scale of things, very minor detail that certainly would not stop me booking again.

Rundown Cabins

Nothing to like, the log cabins are nothing like as described, it felt dirty with old food in the freezer ,unwelcoming and rundown very much needed attention, old and unclean bedding so thankfully only there for two night's. Awful to say the least so don't be fooled by the ratings 😠

The location is nice it is very homely inside it is my 3rd time coming here.

The only thing i wasnt keen on was there was a fair bit of dust around the units of the tv which i could see from just been on the couch. The fridge had abit of a smell coming from it, think it just needs a little clean.

Would happily stay again

we stayed here as part of our honeymoon last year and we stayed again for our 1st anniversary. Would happily go back any time. Shame about the stormy weather, but it just made it cosier and better!

Disappointed

The location also cottage was warm and cosy

The property is poorly signposted tried to contact owner many times but no response found out where it was from another property. The bedroom door wouldnt close. The bed was so close to wall could barely get round it. No chains on plugs. Light bulbs too dim so couldnt read at night time. No tea towel or oven glove . Laminate coming off kitchen work top. Towels old and hard. Shower temperature knob very very hard to turn. Lack of sockets and they were on skirting board so very low to floor to access. Piece of wood covering wires in kitchen but not attached to anything. Nothing to open hot wood burner so had to use a log. No information pack. No log burner starter kit ie matches and fire lighters. Cobwebs all over. Rubbish behind bedside cabinet in bedroom. Mattresses not very comfy . Some issues were rectified by owner but basically the property in need of a lot of tlc. Description on booking.com said dishwasher but this was incorrect and misleading. Apparently this has now been rectified.

Beautiful throughout

The log cottage was absolutely stunning set in a beautiful location. The cottage was clean, well equipt with awesome views. My kids loved the horses and also named the chicken lol, Tim was friendly and on hand if we needed anything, the perfect host. So pleased we chose these cottages.

Excellent stay

We really loved the cabin and the amazing view surrounding the cabin. Waking up listening to the horses whilst having coffee outside on the bench was bliss. Cabin came equipped with kitchen, TV and WiFi and was kept really clean and was maintained well. Slight traffic noise from the main road but nothing that was annoying. I highly recommend.

I would say getting out of the main road was a challenge due to overgrown bushes blocking the view of the busy road.

The character of the property is charming. Lovely and quiet with a great view. Horses were very friendly.

The floor was very sticky and dirty and hadn’t been cleaned. Greasy extractor fan. Cupboard underneath the sink was also very dirty.

The location, view

No cooking equipment, not clean, smelly towels. Advertised dishwasher but no dishwasher. We had to go out and buy baking trays so we could cook in the oven. 2 pans is not a well equipped kitchen. Had to wash all crockery as it was sticky. Cupboards unclean, flour all over one shelf. Hairs all over bathroom floor. Thick dust on all lights and lamps.

Cabin was very unloved, lots of things needed fixing, windows all filthy, cabin damp and smelled musty, carpets and floors dirty and badly marked, hardly any crockery and cooking items, no cleaning supplies, no brush, mop Shame really as it could be a fantastic place

Amazingly calm stay highly recommend

These log homes are stunningly beautiful and so peaceful with horses, cows and chickens right outside it’s a great get away, Tim is an amazing host and makes you feel very at home! Highly recommend!

The only thing I didn’t like is that we didn’t book on for longer haha
