Raicho Onsen Inn

Lovely outside onsen, relaxed, comfy room, welcoming environment, good kitchen and lounge space to hang in

Nothing - it really suited our family and travelling with two small children

The location and the comfort of the bed were stand-out features, as were the living room, the kitchen availability and the outdoor onsen.

I would have loved a more comprehensive idea of what trails were available and/or directing towards the in-room folder - the illustration on the reception desk and the chalk drawing in the kitchen were not really accurate. I would have loved to have looked at a better and more accurate map to do a bit of hike planning right at the start as I wasn't aware of what possibilities were available. The map on the wall near the onsen, in the room folder and behind the reception was a much better representation of the trails, and I only discovered these a few days in to the stay.

The staff was really nice and helpful. The rooms were clean and the hotel had a great and friendly environment.

The smell of the onsen was really strong at least in our room which was really close to it. It is an Onsen inn so it is understandable but please keep that in mind.

The guesthouse is very clean and well organized to be as self sufficient as possible. You can even get food for dinners from their little shop counter. The bedroom was comfortable and also very clean. The private onsen and their reservations system is beyond excellent and very enjoyable. The best onsen of your trip so far. The staff is very kind and accommodating.

I would say the noise insulation is not the best so bring ear plugs.
