About this villa rental
Casa Caldera is a detached villa consisting of 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and privately heated pool. The villa is single storey and very spacious. The gardens are totally enclosed including locking gates for child safety and privacy. Situated in the quiet and exclusive Los Mojones area of Puerto del Carmen above the old town and harbour, the best restaurants, bars and shopping centre are only a 10 minute walk. The main beach is a 25 minute walk. The sea and the unique Lanzarote mountains can be seen from the terrace.

Villa was lovely, spacious and spotless, pool was great as it was heated. It had all you would ever need towels, utensils etc and a really nice touch from owner/manager who left water, biscuits and a bottle of wine for our arrival. I would say that in some places is in need of updating i.e. small rugs in every room which were very slippery and a trip hazard, some kitchen cupboards had bits of wood falling off and the pool really needs a good deep clean and repainted.

The villa is fantastic value for money . Set at the back of the resort about 25mins walk in to the main resort or 15 mins in to the harbour. Great size for six people age range 16-70. The pool area is plenty big enough with space around the pool and the pool itself plenty big enough. The villa was clean and fully equipped for a self catering stay. The only slight criticism if any was that the pergola is not covered but the umbrellas provided did the job.

Good location, spacious villa ….Louise and Tony the agents very responsive when there were a few minor problems and it was very clean. The pool is heated and was very enjoyable. The villa was easy to find and in a quiet area and we enjoyed our holiday in Lanzarote. We hired a car but also made use of taxis which were cheap and easy to get. There’s a lot of space in the villa and it’s well equipped. A few changes would make this much better but it’s not a luxury villa at all. Too much wear and tear, poor furniture and more of an Ikea vibe. For example: The kitchen is well equipped but the fridge freezer is handed the wrong way. Possibly remove the doors so you can access it without a problem? We were not at capacity during our stay but would have found another comfy chair in the lounge or bedroom good. The bed linen and towels etc were all clean but poor quality. Perhaps I could suggest adding a shelf in the en-suite shower and a non slip step off area. The shower is great but floods the floor and was bit of a slip hazard.And finally air con which we didn’t need in February but I would not book a villa without this any other time of year. In summary a decent clean basic villa but let down by a few things.
