Bamba Hotel Tokyo-Private Townhouse-

We three friends from the United States had an absolutely fabulous time staying at the Bamba Hotel during our visit to Tokyo in May of 2026. The Bamba Hotel is actually a delightful townhouse for rent in a pleasant Tokyo neighborhood with very convenient access to the Shambamba subway station. This comfortable and quirky space was cleverly equipped with a surprisingly wide range of amenities. Breakfast was delivered each morning by friendly and considerate staff who also provided helpful advice on sites to see and restaurants to try. The staff were easy to communicate with and struck a nice balance between attentiveness and allowing us sufficient privacy during our four-night stay. We enthusiastically recommend the Bamba Hotel as your pleasant temporary home in Tokyo.

Road noise was a little problem in the front bedroom but the 4 sets of window shutters really helped dampen the sound.

All the charm truly made it feel like a home away from home. Great location, right next to the station but in a beautiful and quiet neighbourhood. Our teenage kids felt very comfortable.

A really quirky place to stay, unlike all the usual hotels / apartments this has a lot of traditional charm so was a great experience

Nothing bad

Location was great. Right next to the station. Despite being close we heard no train noise. The vegan breakfast was fantastic.

Strong smell of gas fumes in the bathroom. Lack of comfortable seating - only two chairs and one foot stool provided. The stairs were incredibly steep and frankly hazardous.
