I booked this for my parents and they were extremely happy with the experience. The owners are extremely kind and the food and onsen is excellent. 100% recommended for anyone looking for a ryokan experience

All was perfect

Beautiful, spacious room. We loved the outdoor baths, and the little special touches that made everything feel perfect - the basking ledge on the outdoor poor so you can sit on when the water gets too hot, the rock placed perfectly to act as a pillow, the flow of the indoor wet room for showering and washing down and private indoor bath. How the toilet wasn’t in the main space - it kept everything clean and elegant. The staff were attentive, polite and accommodating. The food was AMAZING - fresh, carefully and thoughtfully prepared, beautiful, flavourful - I ate things I didn’t think I would normally like - and it was delicious! The menu we had was based on the spring season, and had beautiful touches of pink incorporated into all the courses. The local area is beautiful countryside, with Mount Omuro nearby. We recommend either driving or taking a taxi to get around - walking proved difficult around the small country roads. Izu Shaboten Zoo was also great - the capybaras are a highlight!

It would be nice to have an english version of the menu, but this is a very minor complaint. The japanese menu was printed and beautiful, and added a touch of elegance. We used ChatGPT to translate it and it was fine

The most incredible stay - from the food, to the views and private onsen. The owners couldn’t have done more for us. I must come back.
