Kira no Sato is a traditional Japanese Ryokan. The staff were great, the food was some of the best I've had in Ryokans. They provide an allergy free menu which didn't lack anything. The onsen was really atmospheric in a wooden building. Super clean! The amenities were great with free drinks, afternoon snacks and Ramen at night. At the onsen yakkult and ice lollies were provided. My room, which was a standard double, was a little old fashioned but very clean and had a great view. I really would recommend this place for a ryokan experience.

Beautiful authentic experience. Huge spiders above my onsen tub, but understandable given the setting.
The spiders!

Ryokan we stayed at was newly renovated with private bathtub , huge and comfortable space.
Meal plans were slightly restrictive, only shabu shabu/yakiniku for dinner , personally prefer to have meals that feature more skills and local delicacies.

Score is not based on initial room rooming. We relocated to a standard room as Japanese room with Onsen was stained and required renovations. Other facilities such as restaurants, public Onsen had been renovated and in excellent condition. The standard room had some wear but was comfortable.
Onsen Japanese Room requires renovations and upgrade.
