A beautiful setting, plenty of private onsen baths and I was always able to find one to use (mid-April weekdays), a quick walk through beautiful nature to get to the coastline, delicious food, friendly staff. It was like living in a dream.

The plentiful hot springs were enjoyable to try. The breakfast and dinner were elevated and enjoyable, however it was a bit difficult to eat the grilled fish as the bones are left in.
Large insects in bedroom. For a $400-$500 USD stay it is unacceptable to have multiple large insects crawl into your bedroom, especially when sleeping on the floor. We lost peace of mind and sleep due to a 3 inch spider scurrying around the walls at night. I woke up to a large centipede next to my head beside my pillow. We also had to kill other large bugs with our towels… The forest setting is great until you realize the bedrooms aren’t actually sealed from insects.
