Great location for hiking, super friendly and helpful owners, good food.
No en-suite facilities, but good onsen availability meant this didn’t matter.

Private onsen was amazing. Also breakfeast was very big and tasty. Hosts were very kind and welcoming.
Everything was perfect

Owner family is super helpful and thoughtful - happy about every visitor. Onsen inside the hotel, small but nice and private use. Free Onsen in the River in front of the hotel - borrow a shuffle at the door. Dinner and breakfast were great - definitely recommend, especially if you don’t feel like going to the limited options in the area that are walkable.
Slightly older building - still everything was clean and organized.

Wonderful hosts – they are so welcoming and helpful that you immediately feel at home. They specially prepared a delicious vegan dinner and breakfast for me. I'd be happy to come back if I get the chance.
And a swim in the river right in front of the house, where you dig your own hole to get your hot spring bath.
