Belvedere Lodge

The location was great, easy to access by car, with free parking. We took the bus to the city centre from across the road (10 - 15 minutes). Bus stop right outside the gate on the way back. Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Breakfast menu excellent. Very clean and comfortable.

No complaints at all

Lovely rooms.

Not knowing we had to haul our large luggage down 3 sets of stairs. If we had known we could use the door on the lower level to bring our luggage in, it would have made things a lot easier.

Room was comfortable and had what we needed for one night stay.

Unfortunately being on the 3rd floor was tuff as they have no elevator.

Nice bathroom and hot shower. Comfortable bed and friendly staff. Nice breakfast.

I kept expecting breakfast to be excellent as per reviews, but options were very limited to a full irish and two choices of scrambled egg. The rooms are not very sound proof. Was awoken by drunk guests returning at 2am who were loud and were loud in the hallway, and no staff to tell them to be quiet, and could continue to hear them in the room adjacent. The floor creaked a lot and the bed was half broken so whenever my partner turned over the bed shook violently. There is a lack of a receptionist and was very difficult to get someone to assist with check out and had to interrupt the breakfast staff. The car park is deep gravel and feels the car is about to get stuck.
