The location was excellent in a lovely town with a good range of independant shops and cafes. We were made to feel very welcome. Enjoyed the pool.

More options for breakfast, e.g. yogurt, fresh fruit, continental. However it was off season and quiet.

We found the room cold at first but the staff were helpful in resolving the issue, providing us with an additional heater.

Beautiful building with lovely helpful staff who we had great chats with.

Maybe bigger TV mounted on wall rather than small TV on top of the wardrobe and shower was a bit small but we only saw our room and there isn't much you can do with the shower size so we're really not complaining!

Staff were helpful and pleasant. Cleanliness and breakfast. Ideally located for the town centre but not what we would call quiet.

The driveway is very very narrow. So the parking is very tight. I think the title of hotel is a little ambitious, the only meal served is breakfast, lovely as it was. There is no bar. Cannot comment on the pool. We were asked if the smaller room would be ok, on the day we booked, which we confirmed we were, however we didn't realise just how small. Don't get us wrong though, we had all we needed for 2 nights.

Our dog friendly room with access to car park and swimming pool. The service at breakfast was absolutely first class. And the food fabulous - the staff couldn't do enough for us. Great location in the centre of town.

Comfortable bed clean room and friendly owner. Easy to come and go and close to centre of town. Didn’t have a chance to try the pool!

We stayed at Seven Stars for one night and didn't have a lot of time in Hay-on-Wye so we didn't use the pool or have breakfast. However, the location was fantastic, the view was great, the room was clean and comfortable. No problems whatsoever and Di was friendly and accommodating.

Nice welcome when I arrived, flexible with checking in time. Perfect location in the heart of the town, lots of recommendations for eating & drinking. comfy bed, Good breakfast, will definitely go back

Nothing really. I was a bit worried about the chiming clock just outside the hotel, but it didn't stop me sleeping!

We loved the warm feel of the property and the location was perfect for us. Everyone was so kind and helpful. We also loved having Captain the dog as company for breakfast. Would definitely recommend and return again

Dogs in the breakfast room. One guest's dog put its paws up on my table , fortunately I had finished breakfast. Also nearly tripped over the dog as I was leaving the table.

I loved the friendly and wonderful atmosphere of the staff. They are always around if you need anything. Also, they have wonderful loving dog greeter named Captain. ❤️

I always wish I could stay longer for friendships were forged. I would always be sad I would have to leave. 😕

The staff were really lovely, breakfast was great, ample parking was available on site and the pool was a bonus - and all in the centre of town!

Well what can I say about our first and definitely not last stay at Seven Stars. . . It was amazing and my wife’s 40th birthday trip was perfect. Upon arrival we were promptly shown to our room by lovely staff and just as described; it was was perfect. The room itself was at the back and entered directly into the swimming pool which was just perfect as my wife loves nothing more than a morning swim. Being that it was my Wife’s special bday we were also greeted to a birthday banner and card which was a very sweet touch. After a great day roaming around Hay on Wye we had a very comfy nights sleep and woke to have a swim in a lovely pool which we had all to ourselves before breakfast. We met the owner Di, who was so lovely and her beautiful dog Captain who is just the sweetest and adds a feeling of home as he roams around the pub greeting guests with the same warmth as the staff who were all lovely. Breakfast was perfect with a really nice selection of cereals, juices, tea, coffee and cooked food. We had the full breakfast which was cooked perfectly and a lovely start to the day. It’s a 16th century ex pub which has beautiful Character and charm. If you are looking for somewhere to stay to make your visit that extra bit special then don’t hesitate to book with Seven Stars. Would we stay here again? Absolutely!! Thank you again for making our first stay and my wife’s special birthday perfect.

The location of the B&B was really central and in easy walking distance to the town, shops, pubs and only around the corner from many fantastic walks along the river Wye. Di the host was very welcoming, full of information about places to visit and eat. She made a fabulous breakfast for us each morning . The other staff were really friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We took our dog who was made to feel very welcome too!! We’d stay there again!

Breakfast was excellent, with good quality ingredients and extensive choice. The pool was a good size and lovely and warm. The room was a little on the small side, but adequate and clean and serviced daily.

Fabulous location, full of character and charm, great friendly host.

Our room was dual aspect with a view onto the square at the front and the beautiful hills at the back. Room was large and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and the host was lovely. Location was perfect, park the car and walk everywhere. Hay has many independent shops and a fabulous market twice a week.

Shower in our room was a little small and we didn't both get a shower as there was not consistent hot water. TV was quite small but we were not t here to watch it.

The staff care and breakfast were excellent including treats for my doggies. Good that I didn’t have to pay extra for pets. Slightly strange trying to have an afternoon nap with the swimmers right next door the other side of the French doors.

Paying for a double room and breakfast as a single woman and being charged as if I was a couple.Disappointed to be told after booking I wasn’t allowed to have an early morning as on my own…

The room was on the ground floor. Close to shops.

The room was attached to the swimming pool, so there was an overpowering smell of chemicals during the day. We had to keep the window open even when we were out. It was also very warm. The bathroom was very basic. Because the room was entered directly from the carpark, we kept bringing dirt into the room.

The breakfast was really good and the pool was an excellent facility.
