Hotel Savoy Bonn

Breakfast was good. My only disappointment was how noise my room was (31). I couldn’t sleep at all…..it was like sleeping in the street.

Horrible traffic noise all night long.

Check in was easy and handy that it was open until 10 pm when flight was delayed. Reception staff were very nice and helpful especially Suzanne, and on the days I only wanted coffee for breakfast

I chose the Hotel Savoy in Bonn-Germany from photos my daughter sent me of various hotels via WhatsApp to Trinidad-Caribbean. The hotel appears modest, just 20 rooms, nestled between the Kolaika Restaurant and the bridge crossing the Rhine. From the Bonn Bahnhof, we got there by tram and alighted at the Bertha Suttner Platz. The staff was warm and welcoming. My room was absolutely lovely. Well appointed with lots of natural sunlight entering from the adjoining balcony. Impeccable bed and bath linen. Susanne, the receptionist loaned me a charger to charge my phone as I had forgotten to buy a Euro one. Breakfast is a delight. In a medium sized room with one whole side being glass windows overlooking the 4-crossing, the tram line, shops. A church spire can be seen in the distance. My daughter joined me for Breakfast and loved the room! Hannah and Susanne ensured that we had all we needed. The attractive and ample buffet is well thought out. On my final morning, the staff laid out a delightful table for us as we had to leave early to catch a train to Köln, then Amsterdam. Because my week in România was cancelled due to 'omnicron', I departed one day earlier. The management was unable to refund the extra day at that late point in my stay but were very accommodating to grant my request to give my daughter Juanita a single room on my floor on my final night, so she could easily see me off the next day. This saved us a lot of hassle. The service here is truly wonderful, the staff is so helpful and go above and beyond! We also got great tips and directions on things to do in the city. A cosy, amazing hotel, extremely well located near the Rathaus and the Rhine. There is a tram stop and bus stops very close by, so it's very easy to get around. It's also easy walking distance from the city centre, and there's a grocery across the bridge. Thank you Hotel Savoy, for making my first visit to Bonn so absolutely happy. For me, you are 5 stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟.

I was extremely pleased with everything! The only tips I would give are that the elevator is quite small so it may be difficult to navigate if you have large suitcases. My room was on the side away from the street so it was quiet, and I recommend requesting this placement if possible.
