Nice hotel but staff was not helpful

Beautiful hotel in a perfect location. Lovely room. Great shower pressure

The hair blow dryer did not work. When I called the staff at the front desk the gentleman came upstairs to look at it. He agreed that it wasn't working properly but he didn't offer any solutions. I asked if they had a dryer I could use and he said no. I then spoke with a woman at the front desk the next day and she said the same thing. How can a supposedly luxury hotel not have an extra blow dryer! I was there for 4 days and this was a true inconvenience that was completely dismissed by the staff. The bathroom appeared clean but unfortunately did smell of urine. I didn't even bother telling housekeeping after not getting any help with the dryer.

Xmas Market trip

Visiting with friends and family for Xmas market. On check in our room was upgraded to an executive room upon check in. Lovely spacious room with everything we needed during our stay. Can't rate food as didn't eat at hotel as spent all our time in city . Staff very friendly and helpful . Room cleaned and serviced every day and water coffee pods etc refreshed. It was in a nice quiet safe area.. Not in centre if city but easily walkable to Xmas market etc. Would use again

Perhaps more sockets/power points in room .It was also rather hot at night . However perhaps if we had approached staff they would have had chance to rectify this

more coffee / tea in room. I drink tea and there was one black and one green. There were 2 coffee pods. There was no milk. I think for this level of hotel, having a handful of each item is not much of a cost and removes a potential frustration.

The decor in the public spaces was beautiful. The Reception team were incredibly helpful and friendly. The room was quiet as requested and had everything I needed.

I would have really appreciated some provision for the lactose-intolerant at breakfast, specifically yogurt.

Location and very quiet room.

Very pricey for how outdated the rooms are. Also the gym is very poor and the food options are very limited and not healthy alternatives

A lovely hotel in a charming area of Brussels.

Located in nice part of Brussels approx 25 mins walk into the centre. But the area of Chatelain is so nice with many restaurants and cafes, quirky delis and bars within 5 mins walk. The staff were very helpful and the room was clean and comfortable.

Parking nearby is available but very expensive. Our car was too big for the hotel car park service (€35) so we had to keep topping up our parking on the local meter which cost us over €50 for 24 hrs!

Great hotel, in good location in a fantastic city.

We had very spacious rooms (booked two superior rooms) with comfortable beds and first class facilities. Shower was very powerful and the bathroom also had a bath. All toiletries provided and very high quality. Hotel is in a good central location, with the tram station Bailli just around the corner. This gave us quick access to the Midi station via the metro station at Louise tram stop. Took less than 20 mins to get to and from there and used the same tram stops/Metro to get us to the Grand Place Plaza. Would definitely recommend going to that area. We walked there and enjoyed the stroll down seeing all the architecture and shops on the way. Very easy to use the public transport network. There are lots of bars and restaurants down the Avenue Louise (turn left outside hotel and it's there), which are worth going to. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Didn't have time to use the bar but would have liked to have had a drink in the nice garden the have. Price of the rooms was very good considering location and the quality of the hotel. Loved staying here and would recommend.

We didn't book breakfast as there was three of us and it would have been expensive. Price seems to be as expected in a European city and would have considered if only the two of us.

We had a lovely break & the hotel was calm but in a good area for local bars & restaurants.

The staff were excellent. Very helpful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Our room was bigger than expected and very comfortable. The location was also quiet.

Some wallpaper was peeling in the bedroom Perhaps a little more attention to minor defects that could be easily repaired.

The hotel is fine. It's billed as luxury, 5-star, but I found it to just be okay.

The air conditioning did not work well and never cooled the room sufficiently. It could not cool below 21 degrees Celsius, which made for uncomfortable sleeping conditions. The shower is tiny and outdated.

Old-school comfort and space

I love an old-fashioned hotel like this one. It has an actual wardrobe with plenty of space to put in your clothes, a bathroom with both a tub and a shower booth, the amenities were excellent and they gave me fresh ones every day. The room is big, there's a writing desk, a coffee table, two easy chairs. It's bright and quiet at night. There are art books in the room, which impressed me. I hated leaving that super comfortable room!

Room service takes an hour. But that's a very minor complaint

We managed to make it work for us. However given the room rate, we expected better housekeeping.

The bathrooms were clean.

The room’s decor and furniture was dated and needed updating. Hair dryer in the bathroom not working. Drinking water was charged at €7 for a bottle. Hotel provides only 2 small bottles (330 ml) of water per day for two guests. This was not sufficient. We had to go out to buy water. Not expected at this price point (high room charge) Tea / Coffee / Creamer not stocked sufficiently. One teabag in the room and when we asked for more, we were told that hotel will charge €7 to bring the tea bags to the room.

Beautiful hotel and staff were so friendly and accommodating throughout our whole stay. Going out of their way to help us. Even noticing it was my birthday. You won’t get service like that at non family-owned hotels. Breakfast was lovely with lots of varied choices. Location was great for transport into the city and main attractions. Terrace bar was an added bonus at the end of our evening. Really impressed with the rooms design, cleanliness, size, comfort and amenities. L’occitane toiletries and a robe and slippers were a nice added touch of luxury. Would 100% return and recommend to others.

The only improvement was that I asked for no feather pillows in my room due to an allergy and this was forgotten but rectified immediately once I raised it.

A decent hotel without breakfast included in the price

Very spacious rooms. Nice air-conditioning with comfortable temperature. Nice bathroom with both shower and a bathtub. Very helpful and polite staff.

The fact that breakfast was not included in the rate per night. It was quite expensive (37 euros) if you decide to have, while the item selection was that of a normal hotel.

The stuff is very nice, location is perfect, the room was great. I totally recommend it.

Unfortunately the parking was full, but the good thing is that we found a parking spot in front of the hotel and had to pay only for 3h because it was weekend.
