Very clean, good value, but with some issues

On first impressions, the room was spacious and particularly clean, it all looked very new. Ample parking. A pleasant breakfast. Dog friendly. The shower and hand wash provided was very nice.

Noise from the railway line at the back. The interconnecting room, although had a locked door allowed a lot of noise from the neighbouring room and therefore privacy and noise was a concern. Some better soundproofing is definitely required in room 26. Same applies for the room door being close to the fire escape, which people were using as a regular door. Very noisy. Although I was a single traveller, the bed was a double bed, but it only had a single duvet which was a bit strange although adequate. The shower room toilet seems to be squeezed into a very tight gap. For a large person like myself, it was uncomfortable. I also had an experience that one of the staff just let themselves into the room without knocking which was quite distressing for me and my dog as one can imagine. They spoke no English. However, the main staff reception lady was very apologetic and handled the situation well. Note to the property management, that the wash basin in room 26 has a bad crack in it. Also the curtains are not long enough to block out the light from the window.

Unfortunately there were no staff to serve breakfast. We were told about this in advance and the cost was deducted from our bill, with a great recommendation for a local bakery. This was the only downside, but was managed well.

Great hotel. Really welcoming hosts. Quiet and relaxing despite being next to a train line

We stayed at the Hotel Angelo whilst on our return from a motorbike trip to the Black Forest. The hotel owner was very welcoming and accommodating. We were allowed to park our bikes in the hotel's private garages. The restaurant at the Hotel Angelo is really good. The breakfast is simple but good. Would stay here again.

Great for solo travelers

Nice hôtel-restaurant in quiet location, away from the busy town. My room was as depicted, small but very clean.

My room (26) was facing the back (good), but there was the rail track of the local tram system in the back as well. If you like it super quiet, just know to expect trams speeding by once in a while. The Wi-Fi in my room (26) did not have a strong signal. For instance, for internet calls, it was better to move to the reception area.

Very helpful staff & nice stay

The staff was extremely service minded and helpful. We had some issues with our car and they offered assistance with tools and contact to auto rapair. We needed to leave early, and they prepaired breakfast before the normal time. The restaurant is good.

On arrival the staff were friendly and very helpful. The room was exceptionally clean with the duvet and bathroom towels nicely arranged on the bed. The bathroom, like the room was also exceptionally clean. I particularly enjoyed the breakfast of soft boiled eggs and the coffee.

Perfect verblijf

Heerlijk Hotel, zoals een Hotel hoort te zijn. Vriendelijke mensen en zeer gastvrij. Kamer was goed up to date. 's avonds heerlijk gegeten in het eigen restaurant. 's ochtends een heerlijk ontbijt. Echt een aanrader, ik kom zeker terug. En makkelijk parkeren voor de deur.
