Great view, location but facilities could be better!

The location is beautiful overlooking the lake. The pictures don’t do justice. More spacious than we thought although the furnishings in bedrooms was quite outdated. The window could be opened and you could enjoy the breeze in the evening with glass of wine.

We stayed for 3 nights and there were 4 of us. Toiletries were ‘provided’ when you collected your keys but they’re only one hotel-sized shampoo and shower gel? Definitely insufficient for use! Also bare in mind, they don’t have air-conditioning, only one standing fan in the living room. It was terrible during the heatwave!

Beautiful view, perfect location to investigate lake Maggiore

We were very lucky when we decided to stay during our visit Maggiore Lake in Palanza. The apartment we found was very nice, bright, sunny and well maintained with fantastic view of the lake from living room. There was also balcony with a small table and chairs, where we enjoyed glass of wine at night while watching either sunset colors or fireworks across the lake somewhere in Stressa. Location was excellent, one short block away from water front and ferry station. We stayed 3 nights; and I found Pallanza to be the best base for sightseeing around Lake Maggiore. There is no crowds like in Stresa, but the town still has a pleasant resort feeling with nice water front walks and public parks. Borromean islands, Santa Caterina and Stresa can be visited by most pleasurable boat rides, you also can take boat to villa Taranto and return by walking; Lake Orta is a short drive away. There was so much left to explore more without serious efforts (funiculars, etc). We would definitely stay again in this apartment, if we decide to return to Lake Maggiore. All equipment was functional. Apartment is comfortable and pleasantly decorated and very clean Agent waited for us at the door steps at the fixed time which was pre-arranged by phone; she gave us keys and introduced us to apartment and its rules. . Check out was also easy, we only had to drop keys at the agency one block away. We were given a free parking permit to display at the window of our car. There are parking spots along the building, but they were always taken because they are free. However, it was easy to find available parking spots along the water front just one block away and we did not need to worry about payments thanks to the permit. Overall, it was an excellent stay.

Tolle Ferienwohnung mit sehr schönem Seeblick

Tolle Ferienwohnung, sehr schöner Seeblick, sehr schnell im Ort, an den verschiedensten Restaurants, und an der Fähranlegestelle.

Was ein bisschen schwierig war, dass es keinen festen Parkplatz gab, wir mussten im öffentlichen Parkhaus parken, welches auch umsonst und direkt um die Ecke war. Also kein Problem. Wenn man jedoch Abends kam, war es schwierig einen Parkplatz zu finden.
