Fabulous 18th century historic house as original as it could possibly be, beautifully restored, maintained, decorated and furnished. Exceptional hosts in Mark & Howard who made us feel very welcome, we enjoyed a 3 night stay and it truly felt like a home from home. The house sits in a secluded an elevated position and has fantastic views over the estuary to the mountains beyond, with a lovely garden and covered verandah from which to enjoy them. There is also a guest drawing room where it is really pleasant to sit and read a book, chat, have a glass of wine etc. If you are interested the hosts provide a wealth of information about the history of the house, its original owner, it's many historically important former residents and visitors.

The welcome from our host was very friendly the facilities were like stepping into Downton Abbey we indulged in the 'afternoon tea' served in the drawing room. Our room with 4 poster bed was extremely comfortable. If we are in the area again 100% we will return.
Not meeting the elusive business Partner, but have to say Mark 'front of house' couldn't have been more accomodating to our requirements
